For real. What happened to it? It used to be the coolest station on television. Back when it was Tech-Tv, the show cheat!, was a show where they showed you how to cheat in games, now it's cheaters all the time where it shows people cheating on each other. What does that have to do with gaming? Now it's just the man show, and cops all the time. There's barely any gaming shows on it anymore! X-Play comes on like twice in the regular time, not at like one in the morning. Attack of the show is on once. Wtf happened? I miss when it was gaming 24/7...

I know what you mean. I miss the days when Filter, Arena, Electric Playground, and Cinematech were still airing. *sigh* Seriously though, G4 is being ruined by the constant airing of shows like Cheaters, Cops, and Lost.

I'm not sure what happened either, but I think it had something to do with Neal Tiles replacing G4's founder Charles Hirschhorn as CEO for the channel back in September 2005. He was quoted in an article on Variety on May 8, 2006 saying, "We're going through a change. Guys like to play games, but not necessarily watch a bunch of shows with games on the screen. So what we're doing now is expanding G4 from a network solely defined by videogames to one inspired by them."

Well to that I say: STOP TRYING TO TURN G4 INTO ANOTHER SPIKE TV CAUSE YOU'RE FAILING HORIBLY AT IT!!!

Seriously! I was wondering what the heck was going on too. Beforehand, If I could watch G4 all day, I most likely would on the weekends. Now, I hardly watch it every week. S'cuse me, 2 weeks. :/

And I only watch Spike TV for my daily dose of CSI. XP I switched to Rawplay HD and Cineaddicts on the High-Def channel, it's pretty much the only way I can get my gaming fix.

(Even then, I find myself screaming in the deep reaches of my mind how stupid the player is when he does something obvious and gets himself killed. Even then the supposed show called "Rawplay" cuts out certain scenes and better parts of the gameplay.)

My MOM watches G4 more so then I do! -_-; I realized that that day was a very sad one.

(And is it me, or is X-play starting to flake off in it's gaming reviews too? They couldn't finish Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, but they could finish Final Fantasy XII? Which, I'm pretty certain is longer then RD. *Shrug* )

I really miss Cheat! and X-Play. Now it's mostly Ninja Warrior and Cops. The only thing they have come out with recently that was any good was the "Movies that don't suck" program.

Yeah, I know! I use to watch G4 all the time. The only time I'm on that channel is because of Attack of the Show.

I use to laugh so hard at X-Play, it was fun to watch but now Morgan and Adam are stiff and really not that funny anymore. I miss the old g4 days.

Curse you television!! You have taken the coolest channel and corrupted it!! What teenager wants to watch people follow other people around with a camera? Teens want to watch two people rate awesome videogames and make funny jokes. If you are trying to make it less violent, you did a horrible job at it. COPS is WAY more violent than X-Play.

I agree; G4 was one of the only channels that I watched on TV, and now it just bores me. Cheaters is an incredibly dumb show, and while Ninja Warrior is entertaining, I want to see some X-Play and Cheat! Not only was it cool to see the games that I liked on X-Play and Cheat! (still can't forget that they deemed KotOR #1 XBOX game), it opened me up to games I might not have tried had I not seen them on G4.

What was that rad show where they showed a bunch of clips from games? I liked that one too.

G4 lost half of its Gaming awesomeness when it fused with TechTv and became G4Techtv. Once that happened they killed the awesome shows. Sadly they went even further and put those cruddy wannabe-spike-tv shows. If it wasnt for AOTS and X-play they'd barely be able to keep up as a network. I wish I could just go back to when I could see Portal, Cinematech, and Arena~

G4 is long gone down the road of shows lost to hell. Sorry for those that still think its good. I waited all year for their coverage of the Tokyo Game Show, and all it was was thirty minutes of coverage for five nights. I was so pissed.
