Personally, I thought it was one of the best sci-fi movies of the year, although that will probably change when Ender's Game is released.

The graphics were top-notch, the acting was wonderful (Benedict Cumberbatch you brilliant man), the story was well made, moves on from what the first movie set in motion quite nicely (though I do think the first one was better story-wise). Well, I know I'll be greatly disappointed if nothing else comes after.

I thought it was very well done, had some very emotional moments with awesome action and a great plot. Ending was a little shaky but that's all I can complain about really, best film I've seen so far this year.

Just saw it for the second time, this time in Imax. Ugh, that movie is as gorgeous as it's cast. I knew about certain spoilers ahead of time, but there were enough plot elements that I wasn't aware of to keep me surprised. And I really liked the way they did Carol Marcus as a character (unnecessary underwear scene aside), she ended up being really compelling to me.
More Bones/Chekov/Sulu in the next one, plz

Well, first things first, BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH'S VOICE WAS LIKE A LULLABY! HE COULD HAVE JUST TALKED FOR 2 HOURS AND I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY.

Anyway, xD I thought it was a brilliant film. I know some trekkies may be annoyed at the reboot but I think it's a good thing, I like the redesign of things as they needed to be modernised for a new audience. Refurbishing it for another generation was nice and of course they still paid homage to the original series in various ways, plus they have Leonard Nimoy so yay! I suppose what I'm trying to say is these films might get new people to go and watch the old series (me included) so it shouldn't be a bad thing as things change and we should accept that.

Anway, I thought the story was brilliant and the acting was just amazing, they are starting to develop the relationship between Spock and Kirk really well and I thought it showed their effects on each other brilliantly. I do hope they do more as the special effects just make me fangasm, I just love the effect of the Enterprise going into warp drive along with the awe inspiring music, the combination makes me very happy. Of course, all the other special effects are brilliant and if they don't do another one then I will be angry simply because they've started something good and the ending did feel like it could continue so I hope it does.

Did anyone else notice the throw backs to Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan? (IE the way Kirk and Spock's roles were reversed, or the Daystrom Institute, or Section 31)

I loved this new Star Trek movie. It was just great from start to finish.

I did notice but I didn't feel like they detracted from the overall movie.
