    I don't know much about music, keep in mind.

    What are the things at 0:45 - 1:07, 1:28 - 1:50 and 2:01 - End called? I'd like to say intervals, and @Llave thought a tempo, but neither of us are terribly sure.

    Intervals would be a better word for it than tempo.

    Anyways, that's just a keyboard. Probably a MIDI keyboard with some effects going through it given the year that game came out. Though, honestly, a MIDI keyboard could probably be used for all those instruments.

    My friend came over today, so I decided to ask him.

    He called it a break, which I guess is what an interval is?
