We always watch the New York Times Square ball drop, but they were a few minutes off this time. When 12:00 AM hit, they still had about four minutes until the new year.

    Weird.

It might have been your home clock, or even the tape delay on the channel, since they were broadcasting it about four hours later for the West Coast due to the four-hour timezone difference, I believe.

You think 4 minutes is bad? When 12am hit over here, they were a whole 16 hours behind!

    It's never been off before.

That was a typo. Thank you, Kitty.

I did share a beer with my mom, yes, but I wasn't drunk.

I never watch the ball drop. There was only 1 year I did, and that was in South Carolina when I was staying at a friend's while my parents were in Texas looking for our first house. Last night I just stayed up till 1:23AM playing Guild Wars 2 wondering when the heck our neighbors would stop with the fireworks so I could go to sleep
