Whenever I'm listening to anything, usually Windows Media Player or youtube, my audio has a tendency to do this strange buzzing lagging sound. At first I thought there was something wrong with my audio files, but it doesn't happen always or at the same spot. It seems to happen whenever my internet connection is low, which is strange considering it mostly happens on WMP and it works fine if I'm not in a network. I can't say for sure, but it seemed to start when I upgraded to Windows 7. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, sometimes it's not so often it annoys me, and sometimes I can't even listen to anything because of it. Has anyone heard of this?
Check to make sure you don't have a bee stuck in your power supply, this is what might be causing the buzzing sou- *shot* Anyways, is it doing it with just streaming media for with downloaded files as well?
I did some searching around, and it's a pretty common problem. Try updating your drivers -- It apparently happens when people upgrade to Windows 7 and have old/incompatible ones.
To the OP: This is going to sound funny to you but if you are using headphones, is the jack plugged in all the way? Sometimes I'd get a buzzing sound and realize the jack's not all the way in. Actually, my suggestion sounds pretty bogus now. I second Stardust and say check to see if you can update your drivers. Maybe even upgrade Media Player unless it's the most recent version.
Nashida, it worked without and with headphones. Anyways, I've updated my drivers and it stopped happening. Well...it happened once since I've updated and it was really mild compared to before, so I may have missed something but it's pretty much working. Thanks guy.
