    Weight Loss KHV.

OK guys, I need your help.

I am a 5'9ft white male that weights about 210lbs. Now, according to WebMD I am obsess. But in my defense I just finished my freshman year of college (lol) and I have muscular legs. I played Tennis in high school and was also a very active person...but I have never been "ripped". And damn it I am not going back to school in the fall fat. I want to find a man but its hard to find someone when you are not comfortable in your own skin.

So, I am going to keep a log of my weight lose on here so that you all can hold me accountable and keep me in check. I am going to start tomorrow morning...its 12:35 am here and my whole fam is asleep.

So when I get up tomorrow I am going to start my journey to get healthy.

I will be posting weekly (or semi weekly...it depends on how busy I get/how well my internet holds up) and I just want you all to help.

Obviously the best you can do is say things, but knowing that you are all here and cheering me on will help me stay focused.

I want to go back to college and blow my friends away with how good I look.

    So...help? lol

I'm glad you're dedicated to this but it's gonna be tough. You've gotta push on even when it hurts, and keep going when you just wanna stop. I know you can do it though!

    Awwww! Thanks guys!

And good news! I fired up the old Wii Fit and I am now 201lbs...

The last time I weighted myself was when I went to the doctors in like...February...I think?

Its super helpful to know that I am already almost out of the 200's.

    Target weight goal is 175lbs.

    Let Day 1 BEGIN!!!

Contrary to popular belief, fat isn't going to be the biggest factor on your weight, but it will probably be so on the physique side of things. Muscles are going too add on the weight. My mate, with a 'ripped' physique, barely any fat on him and being around the same height, has probably an extra quarter of my weight on him yet i'm in the obese bracket!
Anyway, though you're over the average for your size, to be honest if you've been around this weight bracket for most your life, it probably means this is your optimum weight that your bodily systems have accountd for. However, if you really want to change it it's your choice and I wish you the best in keeping committed to what you want! Just remember, being obese doesn't necessarily mean unhealthy!

Congrats. You are now no longer o8ese. You have progressed 8ack to the far end of 'overweight'.

8y my calcul8ions, you will 8e in the 'normal' 8racket when you are 168 pounds.

I'd say 'good luck', 8ut this relies far more on your willpower than it does on luck. So instead, I hope you remain resolute in your decision, and stay moving towards your goal.

Once you get past the mental part the rest will follow through although that is the toughest part.

I just want to get down to a health weight.

Whoa, whoa! Now don't go all Black on us... by Black, of course I mean Jacob Black!

Seriously, just don't go for the full eight pack right off the bat. It's gonna take some time to get used to this thing so wait a bit and then go for some abs, though i'm sure you'll get there anyway. :D

Exercise is important but don't forget that diet is very important as well. Avoid fat, don't eat fast food, don't eat packaged food, eat small meals, etc.

Good luck! Just remember, there are a lot of weird diets out there but I suggest doing just the normal method of eating less salt/fat/sugar/nice things and more vegetables and jazz. Plus exercise, but only what you can do.

Yes it will be hard, but you seem very motivated so we know you can do it. I'd send you a cake for good luck but instead I'll send you a bag of carrots :3

It's summer time, and your probably done with school, so the best I can recomend for you is to take 2 lengthy walks a day; 1 in the morning and 1 sometime in the late afternoon. Take some nice scenic routes and wear running shoes, not sneakers or slippers or sandals, e.t.c. Try to explore your neighborhood for some better walking routes and go to places you were curious about. It's what I did. I used to weigh 220 and now I'm at a comfortable 200. In elementary school, I was pretty overweight myself, but I got to fix that by eating balanced meals, meaning eating 3 meals a day, really light snacking and no binge-eating.

I hear eating tuna helps, but you'll need to look that up for yourself. Just stay physically active and try to hold back on snacking. It's pretty easy, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Oh! And try crunches and push-ups after waking up and before going to bed. What I did was start with 1 set of 5 and after a while, I'd add another 5.

    Best of luck, dude!

Drink plenty of water - at least 2 litres a day. Cut down on anything like coffee or tea (If you're a big drinker of either), and eat plenty or fresh fruit and veg and lean meat and fish. You can still eat the odd sweet as a reward, but you should cut it out completely. Cravings, they will get you!

Coffee and tea are 8ad for the diet? I can understand that the milk might 8e 8ad, 8ut I was under the impression that tea was just water flavoured with leaves. I'm not too sure a8out the coffee, 8ut I can't think of anything majorly fattening in that either. I thought that it was the soft drinks that were the killers.

The walking thing is a gr8 idea. Personally, I find it helps to su8stitute it in for a route you would normally drive or 8us on, so that you have motiv8ion to do the walking, to get from point A to point 8.

If it helps, I'm attempting to lose weight at the moment too. I've been living on vegetables and fruit now and it's getting hard -.-

If you are a chocoholic like myself, don't give it up altogether, it may help but it is incredibly difficult and sometimes I think a some quantity can really help. Obviously if you have a tendancy to crave it once you eat it then I would give it up all together.

    Anyway, good luck again ^^

Good luck on your goal. It will be a hard journey (Believe me I've tried) but keep the right mentality and it will all disappear sooner than you think.
    Hope it all goes well.

May I suggest taking an exercise class with a friend at a local gym? I'm going to be taking zumba classes this summer because I thought it looked like fun. Having a workout buddy makes it more fun, but remember not to depend on them too much for support because if they crash then you will be more likely to also.
