I think it's pretty good. It's better than anything I could make.

Argh, do avoid doing any sort of art on lined paper.../:

It's not bad, but in its true proportion, Sora's head is supposed to be slightly bigger.

Like GIIIIIIIIIRLZ :D said, the head ended up too small for his body. But it's a good try on the original picture, keep on practicing like that - eventually you'll move on to drawing stuff without reference.

    Some tips:

1 - if you haven't started using guidelines yet, now would be a good time to start. It'd be smart to study where each joint and bones goes, you will see the similliarity on most pictures' propotions. Start with a stickfigure, then geometrical joints (orbs, cubes, anything like that) and then just shape the body from there. :>

2 - you should avoid using black watercolour pencil for the lineart (too much air inbetween). Go and buy a waterproof ink pen/marker for that, or just wait til the colours are done before sharpening the lineart with pencils (mech pencil HB for the face/light part, 2B and 4B for the rest - or a pen..).

3 - also, when you work with a drawing, the best thing you can do is to get the correct type of paper for it. Regular paper for computer prints is only meant for sketching at most. There's specially made papers/canvas for any tool out there: a paper for pencil shades would be a little thicker than regular paper, and different texture on the surface. For you, if you plan on painting more than drawing with watercolour, you should get watercolour paper because that can handle water MUCH better. But don't pick a cheap one, cause that will end up looking like you've painted on toilet paper... ( why yes, I do know this all too well.. >>;;;; )

I do agree that Sora's head should be slightly bigger. But I've got to say this is awsome! Great job! ^^

    On topic:
Well Girly and Coco pretty much said everything so there's no need for me to repeat their CnC,all I can say is practice and you'll see the results.
