Birth by Sleep Was birth by sleep planned since kh1 was in development?

if you were to play Simple and Clean (which is, in case you forgot, the kingdom hearts 1 theme song) backwards you would hear:

"10 years on, who will send you a hero?"

Birth By Sleep is 10 years before kh1.

The backwards version of Simple and Clean is just gibberish that people interpreted.=/

But yes, they could of been planning it since the start.

 

I couldn't hear a thing. I think you are trying too hard. Anyway, I think that they planned it after KH2. I think they got the idea after KH1.

 

They probably had the idea after the creation of KH1, because the Simple and Clean backwards is really just babble interpreted by a fan.

Maybe they thought about it after KH1, scrapped it, and brought it back after KH2. :D

 

you dont make a game (kh 1) with a preqel in mind..it doesnt work like that

i dont think they thought of it untill after KH2 was finished (not released)

Actually, you can. The only parts that actually ARE backwards in the KH2 theme are the gibberish that's there in the regular song. Neither KH theme song, Hikari/Simple and Clean or Passion/Sanctuary has any backward lyric (except, as just said, the already-backwards lyrics purposely put in Passion).

Also, it's been said, but Nomura wasn't planning on making a sequel to Kh1 at first; he had to see the reception of it before even thinking about one.

 

Nomura probably planned everything before the first game came out.

 

They weren't even sure if the original Kingdom Hearts was going to be successful. I'm pretty sure they didn't plan THAT far ahead.

 

i read nomura was the only one who had hopes on a sequel (KH2). square didn't believe the game would be as successful as he thought it would be, so in hopes that fans would want one he added the secret videos you can see after 100% the game to see the fans respondence to them.

so no, birth by sleep at that time wasn't planned just KH2. although im sure as a month or two after KH2 was released BBS was put into development

 

I'll try to find the interview, but I remember reading that he only had some vague ideas about anything else after KH1; the secret movie was a compilation of the ideas he'd had, and that was it. Nothing else was planned.

 

nomura probably had an idea or something of the kh story in his mind when he wrote or w/e the first one
then probably just added on more things after the first or second(probably second) kh realizing how famous kh got and realizing that fans would definately buy the next games and stuff O_O

and Kingdom hearts was a guttsy move by SE a disney/final fantasy game? its a werid concept, but we love it :3​

no i dont' think so. i think Kingdom hearts 1 was supposed to be a stand alone game and wasn't intended to be a series until later on which might be why the ending was sort of conclusive enough to be a stand alone but ambigious enough to lead to a sequel.
