Loosely based on a roleplay done a few years back by my friends and I but with a original twist.

700 years ago a war between Gods, Fallen Angels, and Immortals raged in the upper world known by the code name Divine Level. As result of the brutal war fought by the higher beings the mortal world went into chaos since the roles that the Gods once held and cherished were tossed aside during battle. This was a dark time for mortal kind. Anarchy, Genocide,Plagues, and Famine ran rabid as the sky turned black and the sun dimmed red. The world remained that way for nearly four years till one day the sky became blue again and the world calmed. Mortalkind was confused at the sudden turn of events and many tossed around their own explanations or stories as to why the chaos had stopped. One of the most well known explanations handed down by mankind was that the chaos stopped when the goddess Aiadera, mother goddess and shepherdess of life and light was publicly executed in the court of gods as a sacrifice to put a stop to the war.

After the chaos ended, direct contact between higher beings and mortalkind was severed. On present day Gaia, Gods still maintain their roles as shepherds to life and to gaia. They are silent guardians who refrain from having a hand in human matters. Now that humankind is on their own, they have been allowed to grow far beyond their capabilities compared to the medieval mentality they lived under long ago when the Gods were still fully in charge. Technology has advanced and empires have risen. Though even after years of being cut off from their creators and becoming independent, Mortalkind clings to the belief that they do exist through worship and through century old myths.

Ever since things mellowed down on Gaia, Mortalkind have developed great empires, two of those empires being the Dark Empire of Eclispcion and the Imperial Empire of Janina. The nations for as long as anyone could remember have always been butting heads and try to keep their distance from eachother. Though tension between the two has begun to grow out of hand, because of this a war might result. But for now things seem peaceful and bloodshed remains at a minimal. But when peacetime reaches it's deathbed will the Dark Empire be the one holding the dagger or will corruption and betrayal appear in the most unlikely places?

Note: This roleplay is a Neo Oldworld type roleplay. There will be a mixture of oldworld and new world aspects. There are still kings, castles, and knights. But there are also cars, airships, and computerized systems at this time as well.

  1. This is a semi-literate roleplay. Please use adequate grammar and spelling to the best of your ability and make your posts up to atleast 3 sentences minimum.
  2. Absolutely no godmodding or making your character more powerful then they should be.
  3. If you avoid posting for two weeks and you were involved in a important event we have every right to move on past you. So please only join this RP if you are active.
  4. This RP has a PG-13 rating, so romance must stop at only hugging and kissing. Though drinking, smoking, gambling, and cursing are allowed.
  5. Keep fighting and quarrels out of the roleplay please.

  • If you are new to the roleplay you are only allowed to make a human character. Though if you prove to be a good roleplayer after a certain amount of time, then you will be given the privilege to make a god or a immortal character.
  • You can up to five separate characters when you first join. But you can submit more characters once you are further into the rp.
  • You can choose to have your character be a knight, a noble, a foot soldier, magician, or more. Make sure you ask if you want to have a special occupation to run it by me first.
  • You can either be loyal to Janina, Eclipscion, or a made up empire. You can also be neutral or part of something else if you wish.( If you do want to be creative with this, please run it by me first please)

  Places and Empires in the roleplay​
  Janina​
  The largest empire on Gaia and also the one with the most political power and territory. They currently have a king in existence as well as a diverse panel of politicians. The King has a special group of knights known as the Knight's council and they are some of the best fighters in the Empire of Janina. In terms of landscape, Janina owns many territories, so it's climate varies depending on what part you visit. Though the imperial city is mild in temperature and sits right next to the ocean. Janina's capital city, Cassenova is the place where most of the Empire's decisions are made, it is also the location of the gigantic palace which is home to the King and his politicians.

  Eclipscion
  A empire who's seasons and movement of the sun have been drastically effected due to a enchantment that been cast over the land as a punishment made by Janina. It is always night time in Eclipscion and the capital city is large, chaotic, and never sleeps. It buildings are high rising and dark with dull lighting. The capital city of Lunan is known for it's crime rate and its rather dangerous place to live. It's military is also quite deadly since the warriors are quite ruthless and bloodthirsty. Eclipscion falls under rule of a Emperor currently
  
  Sarca
  A large , luxurious,and technologically advanced city that is allied with Janina. It has no King, but consists of a council run by it's nobility, wealthy landowners,and elected officials combined. Sarca is known for it's high rise buildings and bright neon lights. Since Sarca is a rich city with a good portion of nobility and wealthy families living in it's perimeter, Sarca's airways are constantly busy with airships and it's streets packed with fancy cars.
  
  The Divine Level
  The plane that exists above gaia and is the home of Gods and immortals of all types. The divine level could be considered paradise with a beautiful metropolis that is roman style with a slight futuristic theme to it. Each god lives on their own manor and the royal family lives mostly together in the palace of the gods.
  
  
  
  
  ROLEPLAY Q/A​
  
  What weapons and powers are allowed ?
  Any weapon or power is allowed as long as it follows the rules. Magic is allowed and so guns or mortal weapons as such.
  
  Are Gods different then the human characters?
  Yes, they may look the same on the outside but they are quite powerful and they are far more technologically advanced then humans. Their society and way of thinking are pretty complicated. They hardly show emotion and most look down on mortalkind. There are some gods walking on earth but they are in disguise most likely.
  
  What are Immortals?
  Immortals the race that exists between mortals and gods. They do not suffer from human illnesses and most are magically and spiritually inclined. A good portion of immortals dwell in the Divine Level and they serve under the gods. Immortals can only breed with humans and are infertile when paired with gods and members of their own kind. So their numbers are small compared to humankind. When Immortals do pair with humans only a small percentage of offspring born are born as immortals.

  King Alesky
  Longtime ruler of Janina. He is secretly immortal and is around 800 years old (yet looks to be in his thirties). He has brown hair and pale blue eyes with a fair complexion. He has a kind disposition and is a rather insightful king. Though for now he is only a figure head for the politicians and the council make most of the decisions for the Empire.

  The Mindell Family
  A wealthy family that is the third closest to the Royal Family. Though the Mindell family has a bad reputation for being hungry for money and status. Its women beautiful but known to be gold diggers. But the Mindell family is still widely recognized for it's production of skilled politicians. The Mindells and the Volker family are currently feuding as they always have been for ages.
  
  The Fable Family
  A powerful family consisting mostly of immortals masquerading as mortals. The Fable family is closest to the King and is highly patriotic. Members of this family act as advisers to the King and the royal family and many serve on the Political Panel.
  
  The Volker Family
  Second closest to the king. This Family is mainly a military family and produces strong warriors. The Volker are strict and power hungry so they are always striving to be the best at everything. They have tremendous hatred towards the Mindell family and engage in Mafia type conflicts with them regularly.

  Personality:Intelligent and wise, Phisoxa is a calm and collected with a bit to teenage rebellion still left in her from her younger years. She is one of the most determined people you will ever meet because of her tendency to never give up on chasing after goals after they have been long out of reach. Phisoxa believes strongly in the honor code and chivalry as a result of several long years of training.
  Bio:A young girl who is enrolled into the Academy of light. A very prestigious school known to teach and bring forth warriors all kind.
  As a little girl she never really had a normal life, always moving from place to place and always meeting new people along the way. She is a honor student in her school and keeps to her studies mostly. She is part of a very well known large family that has a rather dark history to it. Long ago she had joined the Academy when her Master Westus got a job as a hand to hand combat teacher.

  Bio: Shero was born a commoner within a town that lies in the countryside between Janina and Eclipscion. Shes been attending the Academy so that she can later work as a military nurse in the future.

  Weapon/Power: Black magic, Voodoo, and dark spiritual magic. He specializes in mind control, hypnosis, and magic that controls the brain. He is the slave master to the souls of many who gave up their lives in exchange for the promises of granted wishes. He keeps the souls in the form of small keys that sit on a king ring that keeps on his person at all times. As a result he can uses these spirits to aid him in battle. Niero also has ability to float or levitate for short periods of time.
  Appearance: 6'2 Slender, Long and thin dark grey hair with amber colored eyes that have cat-like pupils.
  Personality: Niero has a strange presence about him , speaks with the accent of a noble and seems well brought up. He never usually looks directly at people when hes talking to them unless he truely is interested with them. He rarely shows emotion when around others and when he does smile its usually fake. He is a masochist and enjoys bloodshed, power, and obtaining as much knowledge as possible.

  Personality: A bold and prideful man who never backs down from a challenge no matter what. Though he stubborn and gets jealous easily. He is very strict and hard with his subordinates so many fear trying to upset him.
  Bio: A member of the Volker family,Nathaniel is the leader of Knight's Council and has been for nearly 8 years and takes pride in forcing his authority upon the more subordinate members. The only exception for whom he won't try and boss around is his mentor, Lord Naminas, who used to be his teacher and role model back then when Nathaniel was sent off to a military academy. Nathaniel usually shows him respect and asks advice from Naminas when he needs it, and considers Naminas to be the only one worth trusting.

  Personality:A Calm, Collected, and Resourceful man, Rould is well mannered and Kind to those around him. He enjoys playing logic games including games such as chess.
  Bio: Naminas is a very calm and collective man, wise,logical, and extremely tactical. He can beat nearly everyone at a simple game of chess, including his own boss. But he also a very kind man at that and tries to respect others as much as he possibly can. He is a wonderful and loving father with his two children, Athiol and Evrane. But also he has to act as a fatherly figure for the reckless and rowdy of a pupil Nathaniel and makes sure to try and keep him under control. Naminas is a member of the Knight's Council and has been for nearly 26 years. He serves as a sort of Navigational and Tactics adviser. Though even with everyones respect, something seems slightly off about the man that maybe his reputation is too good to be true.

  Personality Dante is a very calm and collective man but he can have his bad side if hes stirred up enough. Dante being an charismatic man usually hangs around with womanly company to keep his mind off things, but no woman can seem to reach him emotionally.
  Bio: Member of the popular family known as the Fable Family, Dante is a extremely handsome and attractive wealthy man at the peak of his youth. Dante has recently inherited the family business from his father as a gift for agreeing to come live with the family again He is the adviser to the King and lives a life of luxury since he is pretty much a celebrity in Janina.

  Bio: Emperor of Eclipscion and President of its largest Corporation the Tohemi Corporation he has leaded his Empire for hundreds of years and has not aged a day since. All of his people have great devotion to him all most on the level of a god and worship a different religion to the other nations, revering the Star Crossed Gods as their deities. Since the creation of his Empire he has kept the peace but lately he has been gathering his people for war.

  Bio: Nny appeared at the school when he was 17 and attended it. Before hand, his where abouts were unknown. Nny has aced all grades and all tests with flying colors. Taking entire teams out single handedly. But he refuses to make any friends nor talk to anyone.

  Personality: Legion is normally serious about all things. Regardless of the situation.
  Bio: Legion is a Libra. A gaurdian of the universe who's only goal is to make everything equal. This makes his alliance with any side uneasy, for as soon as that side begins gaining more than the other side, he switches. There were once more Libra's but they became extint due to time and endless conflict.

  Side/Affiliation: Raxtion is usually on his own side. But he always tries to fight for the right cause, but in a world with so many unknown lines and boundries, it's sometimes hard to tell what the right thing is.
  Weapon/Power: Spirit Sword (A sword created by the many spirits of Raxtion's race)/Lightning (Raxtion has complete control of electrical properties in any world.)
  Rank: No rank. Raxtion was never apart of the military and abhors voilence he deems unneccesary.
  Appeareance: Raxtion stands around 5' 11" with blue eyes and brown hair. He also has a medium build.
  Personality: Raxtion is kind and gentle. Loving of all life. While he is a great fighter, he only uses his skills for the protection of those he loves and for the protection of all that is good and just.
  Bio: Nothing much is known about Raxtion, and it doesn't help that he can't remember his past either... All Raxtion knows is that he is an alien from another planet... Raxtion hopes to regain his memory soon...

  Bio: Not much is known about Crato either, but his past is in direct corelation with Raxtions... Soon, the past will be remembered by them both and there will be hell to pay for it...

  Personality: Rako is cruel and calculating. Manipulative and overall harmful to those around him.
  Bio: Rako has been plaguing human history for centuries without being known. It's his job to encourage war and create as much devestation as possible.

  Bio: Dr. Traken studied abroad when he was younger, attempting to gather any information he could about the sciences in particular. However, as he got older and began slowing down he took up teaching. With his health and physical capabilities rapidly decreasing with time, Dr. Traken became obsessed with the Elixir of Life... which grants the person who drinks it with immortality. Dr. Traken has spent many years trying to formulate the elixir to no avail... Recently, however, Dr. Traken believed to have finally figured out how to make the Elixir, and there is nothing that will stop him from obtaining the ingredients he needs. There is nothing he won't do to save himself from the inivietable death of old age...

  Bio: From as early as Mixt can remember he has been an orphan. Left in Sarca with nothing but an amulet embossed with a symbol that no one seems to know. As he grew up he came to master the skills of the classes and did odd jobs around the city until he could pay his way into the academy. Academically he has been successful, but he avoids socializing since he believes that others would just hold him back.

  Personality: She is a quiet girl, who likes to make others happy. She has many friends despite her distanced appearance. She also stands strong for what she believes in, and doesn't really care if no one else stands with her.
  Bio: She arrived in this world with no memory of who she was but had a strange knowledge of what it was. She is determined to remember the boy in black from her memory.

POST 1 of the rp now commencing :

It was night time on the grounds of Janina's star school, Eastford Academy. The skies were dark and a the pale moon was shining high in the sky. Tiny stars could be seen twinkling the dark abyss, casting their light down on the forested landscape that surrounded the school grounds. Tonight was the night of the Warrior's footman exam, a exam that was held in the forest outside of the Academy. Students had been separated into groups and sent out into the forest to play out a simulated war in the forest with use of fake weapons. But it was their mission to capture the captain of each team and most captains captured the more points the received towards their grades. Phisoxa was excited about playing out the simulation but sadly she had been put with a dead beat team so it didn't take long for her to grow bored and wander off from her team. Unfortunately for her and her team she had been chosen captain so now she was out alone in the forest. Phisoxa climbed up one of the old forest trees and sat on a branch, trying to keep hidden from those below. She looked out across the playing fielding as the wind blew threw the needles of the pines.

 

Mixt stood in near silence, crouched up the branches of a tree. Many in the exam detested the forest landscape due to limited visibility, but the trick was knowing that there was no reason to fret. The landscape was the same for them all, it in itself did not give anyone the advantage over anyone else. A true warrior would make the best out of any landscape they were in. Right now that meant remaining unseen, and moving slowly. After listening for a moment to make sure no one was nearby Mixt jumped to a nearby tree and repeated the process, waiting for any teams to come by. He figured it wouldn't be too long considering many were scrambling under the time constraints, rushing to make as many captures as they could without realizing just how easily they could be running into a trap.

 

After a while of sitting in the tree Phisoxa began to grow bored again and as a result jumped off the branch and landed on the ground. She brushed off her skirt of any dust or excess needles and began to walk through the forest. Surprisingly the forest was quiet due to its large size so conflicts could be spread out without being too close to each other. A owl could be heard hooting someplace in the dark canopy, giving off a eerie whistle as Phisoxa held her wooden sword at her side. She walked a bit farther before stopping in a open area in the forest and leaning down next to a pond that reflected the night sky. Phisoxa traced her fingers around the outline of a fresh footprint that stood on the pond's edge. " Someone has been through here..." She thought.

 

While outside the academy tests were being run on the students, Dr. Traken sat inside his labratory, working with his instruments and his ingrediants. "I know it will work this time... It just has to..." He mumbled to himself. If a person were to ask around to any of the other teachers, they would all gladly say that the Doctor had been acting very strangely lately. Dr. Traken used to love seeing some of the new recruits tough out their first test and watch some of the seniors do so well. But he had become shut in... distant... cold... All in a pursuit of something. No one knew what it was. But the only time he was seen was in his class, otherwise he would dissappear. Now he sat inside his labratory, alone and isolated, working with his instruments and his ingrediants. Mumbling to himself. And no one knew why...

Rako looked over the practice field, he looked around at the participants. This was perfect. This was the place where idea's were made and futures decided. And what better place to change those dreams into something wretched than here? Rako watched as the battle moved on at a incredibly slow pace. People simply jumping from tree to tree. Rako smiled. He knew he needed to be an example of what others should be. Rako decided to join in the fun of the battle, and add his own realistic twist to it. Rako jumped down into the forest. His appearence quickly changed to hide his true form and he began hunting down some of the players.

 

The school was almost entirely deserted except for a few teachers on patrol duty and those students who weren't part of the Combat unit stayed behind and where either chilling out in the library or in their dorms. A dark haired woman in police attire was wandering the halls with a flashlight and a notepad, jotting down notes as she walked. She had been investigating rumors of a network of Eclipscion spies existing in the school. She stopped midway in one of the hallways in the science section of the school and entered a filing room to search for anything of interest. The storage room was packed with books and files of all sorts, some kept in glass cases that were locked from the outside. The police officer dusted off a stack of booklets, letting the dust fly out of light beam that her flashlight shone and into the shadow.

 

Robert was in his dorm room studying history, he was fascinated by history due to not having a chance to learn it from where he came from. His window looked out over the forest where he could see the students practicing, he could easily take part in the fight and would probably win, but he had more important things to do and he didn’t really care about graduating from the academy.

 

Mixt continued until he came to a point where he heard a few people navigating the nearby trees. He had expected more ground play, though it really all ends up the same. Mixt jumped down to the ground on to some leaves, making a sound that seemed accidental enough that the others might not realize it was bait. With a couple of breaths to feign panic he started to dart off in a quiet, but notable not silent matter. Sure enough it wasn't long before someone jumped down at him from the trees. Mixt quickly unsheathed his sword and deflected the attack.
"You might not be a captain, but I couldn't resist the easy take down" said the other student.
"Funny, I was going to say the same about you" Mixt said with a smirk before suddenly crouching down and activating the transmutation circle he etched on the handle of the wooden sword. Using the leaves, twigs, and grass at his feet as material, he elongated his sword and used that movement to mask the detachment of his sheath. Then he rushed forward at his opponent, shifting halfway through his attack to be swinging with the sheath rather than the sword. The opponent easily blocked but was caught off guard by the switch and fell victim the wooden sword striking a pressure point on his chest. Mixt quickly drew out a transmutation circle to make a hole to contain his now unconscious opponent, and with any luck a few others.

 

Phisoxa's ears perked when she heard some commotion in the forest a ways off. " Finally some action..." Phisoxa thought out loud as she stood up and lightly stepped over the grassy ground towards the dark trees in front of her. She came to a stop and stood behind one, peaking her head out only to look out from behind the trunk at the man who was standing a few feet away. She tried to remain silent in hopes that she could jump him first before he saw her.

 

Rako walked slowly and carelessly into the battle field. He heard noises from off in the distance, but didn't mind them. Suddenly a student exploded from the ground near Rako, apparently attempting to suprise him. The student quickly attacked at Rako with a sword, hoping to still use the surprise to his advantage. Rako dodge the attack barely and began to back up. The student leaped forward hoping to keep Rako off balance, and keep momentum on his side. The student continued slashing at Rako. Rako however used Darkness to shield himself whenever the sword would strike directly at him, and simply dodge when the sword was just a little off target. "My turn." Rako mumbled. Suddenly, Rako formed a sword from the darkness he created. He began parrying the students strikes. Soon, the student was on the defensive end of Rako's attacks! Rako didn't let up and added a second sword of darkness to aid in his efforts. The student vailently fought, but in the end, Rako was toying with him. Rako knocked the sword out of the students hand.

"Well fought! But I don't remember you at all... Are you an obstacle we must face, because you are very tough!" said the student, admitting defeat and putting his hands up in the air as a sign of surrender.

"Obstacle? No, not I." Said Rako "You needn't worry about me. You, however, will be a great example." Rako knocked the student out with the back of his fist. Rako then grabbed the student by the leg and headed towards the sounds off in the distance.

 

Drei was sitting in a tree as the exam went on. His own team went on ahead of him, giving him plenty of time to plan out his actions. Still, the nearby noise did catch his attention. Looks like someone's having some fun. Carefully leaping down from the tree, he decided to go check it out. Carefully avoiding making any unnecessary noise.

 

Rako dragged the body around carelessly, he almost wanted someone else to attack him. However no one did. Suddenly Rako stopped in the middle of the forest. He could sense someone nearby, but they were hiding from him. Rako looked around to find the source and after many moments had passed he locked onto a tree. Rako still could not see the person, but he knew they were there. Rako dropped the student's leg and walked over to the tree. Rako formed a sword of darkness in his hand and chopped down the tree Drei was sitting in with one slice.

 

Phisoxa locked in on her target and was about to jump them before there was a sudden explosion nearby and she went flying back into the woods behind her and landed in the tall grass. Phisoxa got up on her hands and knees, trying to dust the forest debris off her clothes and checking over the bruises and scratches that now lined her legs after being thrown that far through the air. " Damn it... what the hell was that..." Phisoxa said with a growl in her throat as she quickly took off into the patch of woods behind her.

 

Though the tree the Drei was in fell with a thud, he managed to get out of it before any harm was done. Guess I've been found. Looking at Rako, he waited to see just what would he do. The whole while planning on how he would get out of situation.

 

Rako stared at him for a couple seconds with a plain face, not revealing a thing. It was somewhat awkward just staring into the eyes of your opponent, not doing anything else. Without warning, Rako created two swords of darkness and started slashing at Drei. However, when he was attacking, Rako had a huge grin on his face, showing his lust and joy for battle.

 

The sudden attack surprised him, but he managed to jump back before any severe damage was done. As the attacks went on, Drei was trying to find some way he could counter attack or at least get him off guard. As thing stood now, he would be dodging until he ran out of space or got tired.

 

Phisoxa sprinted through the trees as fast as she could till she reached a patch of old dead trees and stopped by them to take a breather. Once she caught her breath she slowly walked around the trunk and spotted two men having a face off in the forest. She stopped dead in her tracks and froze, hoping that none of them had spotted her in the darkness.

 

Rako halted his attack. Rako then did something very odd, he threw one of his swords to the ground by Drei's feet. "That sword is made by black magic. I created it myself. From thin air. I want you to use it now to attack me, because watching you dance around is simply not fun. Trust me, you have my word that it will work for you as well as mine will work for me." Rako then waited for Drei to pick the sword up, so they could continue their battle.

 

Drei stared at the sword before him for a quick second before picking it up. Just as he said, it felt like any other sword to him, still he was better with firearm, but he could at least mange. So without wasting any more time, he got into a ready position and waited for the fight to continue.

 

Rako smiled and then laughed. "Don't you go and die on me now Rako then leaped at Drei, resuming his attack from before, with only one sword this time. Rako was, of course, playing with Drei, and as their fight went on, Rako intended on making it more difficult. But how would Drei do with just a standard sword battle.

 

Fortunately Drei was decent at adapting to knew situation, so he managed to block his attack. There were a few moment were he attempted an attack of his own but mostly he was blocking. Still so long as he had the sword in his hand, he could make last.
