Wanted: Good or Bad?

I just bought the movie Wanted, but I didn't open it yet. Is it horrible like many people have said? Should I return it?

 

It's not horrible. o.o Who said that? It's actually pretty good. It's not like "OMG IT'S TEH NEXT SCHINDLER'S LIST" but it's enjoyable.

 

Some people said the action was overdone, too many plot twists...etc. That's what got me nervous. :)

 

Wanted is probably one of the best comic-book based movies out there. The action is over the top but that's how it was in the comics and there's like 1 plot twist.

 

Really? Okay. So I'll watch it. I hope I'll enjoy it.

 

The comic also had supervillians instead of assassin's.
As an adaption of a comic, this movie fails horribly.

 

Hehe just seeing Angelina naked was worth it man! Juuust kiddin'! :3

Weeell I am not really the action movie guy, but I agree with the people above, I think ''they tried too much'' and that made it really tiring and rather stupid... And the whole ''Curve the bullet thing'' is also really stupid! >.< It is not possible to do that unless you are like Chuck Norris ! :P

 

Really? Maybe I'll just return it and borrow it or something...

 

Watch it for the freaking awesome action scenes and humor. Can't say much for the story honestly. It's a fun over-the-top flick to watch a few times, not exactly a gem though.

You'll enjoy the action, the story isn't that great, but the action pretty much saves the movie. I wouldn't say it should receive an award, but it;s alright

Again, would have been better had they stuck with the analogue's of famous supervillians.

The character that Morgan Freeman played, was actually meant to be a Lex Luthor homage.
Wesley, the Killer, was based on Deadshot or Bullseye.
Angelina Jolie as the Fox, that was meant to be Catwoman.

That scene where Wesley breaks up with his girlfriend? He prefaces it by telling her he just killed his best friend and stashed his body in a dumpster.

The scene where Wesley first meets Fox? It actually happens in fast food restraurant and she kills everybody inside just because she can.

 

Wanted is alright, it has a lot of brutal action and crude humour. If you are a non-stop action lover and you don't care about the story, as long as the entertainment is good, then this can possibly be a movie for you...
