Drew this then made a copy to color it in. I usually don't do that, but I wanted try it out and used pastels (1st time using those too) Personally I don't think it's the best, but not too shabby for a beginner. Looks a little weird to me though due to the fact that it's a copy and I scanned it. But, lemme know what you think.
I think it's pretty good for a 1st time. I know I wouldn't be able to do that well. The legs and feet seem a bit bigger than they need to be. But the shading looks really good, and the colors are pretty spot on
I think it's pretty good for a first attempt. I like the pastel colors you've used pretty spot on, but the problem for me is the feet, they look bigwaitithoughteveryoneinkingdomheartsdoeshavebigfeet I think if you drawn them a little smaller, it would look fine. The eyes also, they're a bit oddly sized to me but then again it may be my 2am tiredness seeing things.
Kairi's eyes look alittle weird. I can't figure out what it is though.. Maybe it needs some color.... the fruit is really nicely done though! This is much better then I could have ever done so great job!
It is great for a first time, the coloring is very nice! Pastels really brings out a picture. The only thing I don't like is the eyes, pupils and shine in them make the eyes more alluring, but its great anyhow!
That's a very beautiful picture. It fits with the Kingdom Hearts series very well. At the end of the first game, Kairi went back to Destiny Islands, but Sora did not, resulting in Kairi waiting for him in the second game. If you plan on making more, I look forward to them. Good work!
It's a really cute picture!!! It's good picture for your first use of pastels! I've used pastels before, and they are uber hard to use if you don't know how to. i think you did very well, but it does look a little pale. maybe darken the colors, that's how pastels work, they add great blending effects too! so i would say take advantage of that media!!! Kairi is pretty well proportional, so you win! the only thing i would say that could change would be this would look good with more background. the white is distracting. But other than that, It looks great. I would love to see more of your work:)
I made her feet big cuz I thought... well you've seen their shoes. XD and thank you everyone, and yeah the eyes could use some work. I was afraid of ruining the whole thing so I left them like that. I tried coloring them blue but because they were already shaded I didn't know if it was going to look good or not. I also need to work on drawing backgrounds as well, thank you for the tips!
I love the pastels you used. I do agree the feet could have been smaller, but still. Also, I am not the only one who knows that this isn't an original art piece right? Because even in the manga, the feet were rather large. Still this is a very good pastel coloring.
For a beginner this is just amazing. I remember my first serious drawings and god...they suck. [I still suck though sooo.]With enough practice and a drive for art you can become one great artist comparable to some DA greats for sure. About this piece. First time using pastels: also great. The feet are kinda big and awkward [even if it is kh...well because it is kh it's not a big deal] and there are other details among the piece that are incorrect with structure of the body. But if you try you're going to go far. Good luck. c:
I know her face is supposed to be emotionless, but try adding some more expression to her face. She seems a bit dead to me. And don't try to hide her hands and go out the easy way. Even if you suck at drawing them, try to make them come out. Also, her butt seems funny. It seems to be too far from the waist. How she is sitting in that position makes her body look awkward, cause of the waist and butt and all that. Also, one of her legs is different from the other. Try making her ear closer to her face.
