How did Xemnas get the 'leaked' memories for Xion anyway?
Was it when he walked through Sora at the end of KH:FM?
THat's the only possible way I can think of...

 

Now that you say it...that's a very good point. After all Sora hadn't visited castle oblivion yet, so he couldn't have gotten them there. Your version does make sense but why not try this theory out...perhaps he gained them from Roxas...after all it is interesting that Roxas has no memories of being Sora?...a very good question to ponder about though, very interesting~

 

I'd say it was KH1: FM as well. He needed some type of memory to create the doll, and that's the perfect time to have gotten the sample. You have to recall that like Marluxia in Castle Oblivion, he phased through Sora in the same manner. And then of course, I doubt it would be hard for Xemnas to visit the pod and take some or lose some, unless Naminé was there 24/7. And it doesn't even have to be that, since Xion being a memory replica, the memories leak from Sora, to Roxas to "her", from what I've gotten.

It probably was KH: FM. Cause Sora was in Castle Oblivion after Xion had been created. So it would only make sense then. Plus Xemnas never saw Sora other than at the time they fought in FM.

The tapping Memories from Roxas could've worked. Showing the meaning why he can't remember. BUt that's probably not the reason he can't remember. Don't quote me.

 

Roxas has no memories of Sora because Kairi cleared the darkness around Sora's heart and stopped the memory transfer from Sora to Roxas.

Roxas was created when Sora turned into a Heartless. But, because Sora didn't stay as a Heartless for very long and turned back into himself, the memory transfer wasn't complete, like it was for the other Orginization members. Xion is Sora's leaked memories. And by inducting her into the Org., Xemnas was able to get a hold of it.

 

well the way I really look at it is that Roxas did remember. For all of about... 10 minutes? Depending on how long Sora actually was a heartless. Roxas forgot his former life when kairi helped him transform back from a heartless. Or whatever she did.

 

You can fight him in normal KH1 too but it was the fight because it would take time to create something like her.

Xemnas sampled Sora's memories in KH1, but probably didn't have a full plan about using them.
Sora's memories started leaking out in Castle Oblivion, a castle of MEMORIES. Since his memories were just...out there and the Organization used Castle Oblivion as base, he could have just gone there and got them. I don't see how it would be that difficult.

Yeah, but Xion wasn't exactly complete. After Sora's memories started leaking, they went into Xion which is why she started changing appearance to the end result.

Sora fought him in KH:FM+. He could have gotten it there.

And even if he didn't, I don't think it matters. Just another plothole

 

Nobodies can steal memories. This perfect example was showed in the KH Chain or Memories game. I mean Xenmas went through Sora in the same fashion that Marluxia did. So that could be answer, sometimes these loopholes are actually explained by having ones memory refresh when they see the same stunt pulled off again.

 

That's what I've been pointing out.
Xemnas and Marluxia both sampled his memories, but Xemnas used it to get rid of Sora later on and have his own Keyblade Master while Marluxia did it to manipulate Sora.
