Voxli rules

This is Voxli everybody say hi

This is not directed at any people or group of people; it has become increasingly obvious over time that these are actually very necessary.

I recognize that most of you won't read these but that doesn't meant that I won't ban you for breaking them. Just as a general warning. This is also why I highlighted all the important stuff in red.

WHEN I USE TERMS SUCH AS "TOO" AND "A LOT" I TRUST YOUR JUDGEMENT.

First (and most important);
I AM THE LAW

Okay guys, I swear to god I will listen to what you guys have to say. In fact, it will be the only basis that I seriously ban people on. I will ban people for a few seconds for the lulz from time to time and this is never, EVER permanent or serious. If you think you have been permabanned or there has been some mix-up as a result of this, please let me know.

On that note, if there is any conflict at all please let me know. I cannot do my job if I do not know that there is a problem. I will ban people if they have broken the rules, but I will not ban them for reasons such as

• You don't like the person
• You took a joke too seriously
• This person does not like you

You will be the active legal parties, and I will be the judge. In the event of a conflict I must be given all information and I will decide who is at fault. I will try my best to act in an unbiased manner but if you feel that I have fucked up let me know in a civil, supportable manner and please, PLEASE DON'T BE A DICK ABOUT IT.

I reserve the right to amend the set rules at any given time. Yes, I realize that this gives me absolute power. No, I'm not going to abuse it. You have any better ideas on how to govern voxli? (inb4What?)



Second rule here we go;
YOU ARE NOT THE LAW

As far as the business of other people goes you have absolutely no say. While it is true that you will have a say in the OFFICIAL rulings of voxli you cannot and will not be allowed to tell other people what to do.

Voxli Bears is a place where the people of khv come to chat in real-time and, if they wish, use their microphones to broadcast their voice. You will not order them around on things such as what room to go to or whether or not they can use their microphone or shit like this without my serious and express permission. You will not be trying to enforce your own agenda or ruleset in voxli in any way, shape, or form.





Alright so now that that's out of the way we can get to the actual rules;




First Class Violations
These are punishable by immediate permabanning. Leniency will not be had in most (if not all) cases.

1. SEX AND VIOLENCE

OKAY SO JUST FOR THE SAKE OF THE CHILDREN DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT SHARING PORN WITH ANYONE. Talking about porn in less-than-graphic detail is fine, but anybody sharing pornographic images or video in voxli will not be tolerated.

I really don't care if you spread stuff around outside of voxli, but inside voxli you can bet your ass is getting banned. For the sake of federal law I am going to pretend that I care about minors getting their hands on teh pronz because it is frowned upon by general society. Think of the kids.

1b. Violence​

Speaking in a violent manner will be pretty much cool, so long as it stays within reasonable bounds and is in a satirical context. Directly threatening someone in any other manner, however, is not allowed. This may or may not include flaming, harrassment, and the like depending on the circumstances.

It will also not be acceptable, regardless of the context, to say overly violent or disturbing things about or to anyone. Please keep in mind that there are people on Voxli who are not as fucked up in the head as you are, and use this when judging the definition of "overly violent".

Furthermore, overly violent (bloody, gory, or violently disturbing) images will not be tolerated in Voxli and neither will their poster be. With relevant and good intentioned cause, mildly disturbing images may be allowed, but again, keep in mind that we have innocent and young people on Voxli (inb4 someone argues that these don't exist on the internet) and use this when judging the meanings of "violent" and "mildly" and the like.

1c. 4chan​

4chan (of course I'm majorly referring to /b/ you idiots) is obviously a place with very bad people on it. Most things from 4chan will be acceptable, however, anything breaking any existing rules or anything that is overly disturbing on a magnitude of /b/ will result in me permabanning your ass faster than Hussein Bolt with a motherfucking jetpack.

2. TRYING TO BE THE LAW

This is a term that I will be using to describe oppressing what others do on voxli. Anybody is allowed on Voxli. As long as it does not violate the rules PEOPLE ON VOXLI ARE ALLOWED TO DO WHATEVER THE HELL THEY WANT AND YOU CAN'T TELL THEM OTHERWISE.

You will not;

• Tell people when they can and cannot use their microphone
• Tell people when they can and cannot chat
• Attempt to lay down rules without my express permission (I doubt you'd get very far with this anyway)
• Tell people that they are not allowed in Voxli or make people feel otherwise unwelcome

This could also involve the rules on flaming and harassment, given the circumstances.

Second Class Violations
These are punishable by a ban of some length; an extended period of time to a permaban.

This one should really explain itself. If you troll then I am banning your ass for the next while. If you come back after the ban and start trolling again then your ass is banned for the next eternity.

2. PIRATES

On a more serious note, actually using voxli to spread around your illegal shitz is not tolerated for the specific purpose of social image. I don't care if you do it outside of voxli, I may even want in depending on what program's being spread BUT IT'S BAD AND IT'S ILLEGAL. So go ahead and be federal criminals outside of Voxli, but in Voxli we're respectable human beings.

Pfft. Civilized.

3. HARASSMENT AND E-BULLYING

Attempting to pressure or otherwise force people into doing what you want is a definite no-no. You will most likely be permabanned if you are found telling someone on voxli what to do and using malicious undertones to back it up. I AM THE LAW. YOU ARE NOT THE LAW.

If the events are occurring on MSN then it is (except in the most severe cases) out of our control, if you are being flamed on MSN by a member then we ask you to block that contact from talking to you on there. Make the staff aware that there was a problem but please note we can’t force rules on instant messenger services. In those circumstances you would be better off making a complaint to the staff of the service.

(I copypasta'd that second bit from the khv rules. I'm cool with this if you are.)

I will be judging what is and is not punishable under this rule by what the person who was being bullied makes of the situation. It is not the viewpoint of the oppressor but the viewpoint of the oppressed that defines a time of oppression, and I will be acting accordingly. The harasser may have very little say in the situation depending on the individual circumstances, but as I am fair I will always listen to what both sides have to say.

Third Class Violations
These are punishable by a definitely temporary ban; however repeated violations will make these bans less temporary. I will not stand for people thinking they can break these with no real long-term consequences.

1. GUYS THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEBATING AND ARGUING

Flaming. It is not allowed.

I recognize that perspective may put a thin line between the two, but take this as an example; you have officially crossed the line when you find yourself being uncivilized and/or making personal attacks against the other party. This isn't cool and it's disrespectful. Expect to be banned for a short time.

2. MODERATE TROLLING

While repetitive trolling has already been addressed, moderate trolling will still be punishable (though to less of an extent). Trolling in any form will be punished, so long as it is continued after warnings are given. Any form of attempting to piss people off for your own amusement is filed under trolling. Examples of these include but are not limited to the following;

• Playing loud and/or obnoxious noises over your microphone
• Attempting to get other persons in trouble unfairly
• The aformentioned obnoxious name changes

Also punishable under this are actions that you are told repeatedly are annoying or bothering and yet are still continued. If the people on Voxli have made it obnoxiously clear multiple times that this behavior is not appreciated you are expected to stop. No, you cannot invoke this rule if there are only like two or three people in the room.

Things that are notable, but not really rules.

2. VOXLI WILL LISTEN TO BAN REQUESTS

Khv, as I discovered some time ago, does not listen to you if you ask to be banned. Therefore, if you want to be banned from khv for whatever reason, you have to break one of their rules repeatedly (see: Saki posted porn EVERYWHERE when he wanted in on some bannage).

This is stupid and it makes absolutely no sense. Voxli will not take after this behavior. If you feel like you want to be banned, come and ask me rather than breaking any rule to this end. I cannot stress enough that you should not break a rule if you want to get banned from voxli.

This does not mean, however, that I will unquestioningly take all ban requests as they are given. If you want to ask me to ban you from voxli then you had best come with a reason. I reserve the right to downturn any requests on bans for whatever reason I like. There should be no problems with this, seeing as any rule breaking or disputes to come from this are purely a result of circumstance when given this.
