Video catches suspect in act at Millington Central High

Millington Appeal said:

School video surveillance helped lead Wednesday to an arrest in the on-campus sexual assault of a student at Millington Central High.

The bullying and attack occurred Tuesday about 3:15 p.m. -- an hour after dismissal -- in the empty teacher's lounge, according to a Millington Police report.

The 14-year-old suspect was trespassing when he attacked a 15-year-old, Shelby County Schools spokesman Mike Tebbe said.

The alternative school student was under suspension at the high school, meaning he was not supposed to be on campus, Tebbe said.

Here's the victim's account, much of it verified by surveillance video recording:

The victim was outside the building waiting for a parent when two boys approached.

One boy asked for money, but the victim had none.

Then one asked to see one of the victim's candy bars, which the bully put down his pants.

The victim ran inside the building, locked the door and waited outside the teacher's lounge.

But one of the bullies entered another way.

On the video recording, police watched the bully pacing in front of the victim.

The video also shows that when the victim tried to walk away, the bully grabbed, pushed and shoved the victim into the teachers lounge.

The victim said the bully made threats and demanded a sex act. The bully also beat on the victim, causing some light but noticeable injuries.

The video helped authorities identify a suspect, who was arrested Wednesday and taken to Juvenile Court, police said.

Thats kinda rare, but first time I heard it in the news.

Was their any mental problems he got from the assault?
