I love it. Version 2, in my opinion is better. I love the effect. My only complain is the text. I think it would have been better without all the names.
The background looks like you took a gradient or random brush strokes and used a filter on it. It's a tad boring, but it could be a decent starting point for a sig if you expand on it a bit. The text is bad, scrap it.
