Birth by Sleep Ven = "The Voice?"

So lately there have been some threads about ven being really closely related to sora, as in roxas = sora's (memory?) of ven and thats why roxas, although sora's nobody, looks exactly like ven.

Assuming this is true, which I think it is, would it be so far fetched to think that ven has already played a part in the kh storyline? I give you, "THE VOICE."

So obviously "the voice" is more prominent in kh1 as we see it a lot in sora's awakening and towards the end of the game (when sora was opening the final door in EotW). Could this voice have been ven? I know that for some of the awakening "the voice" was somewhat of a tutorial guide, but later on with "you hold the "most powerful weapon of all" or "dont be afraid" parts, you really start to wonder..." Who the hell is this guy"....or girl...but i wont get into that. anyway, thoughts? I think its pretty plausible that ven could have been the voice, leading sora on. And only sora heard it as well. In kh2 roxas is also the only person who hears it.

well, that last bit is my "thirteen cents" anyway.

 

I assumed "The Voice" was the princess of heart. Whomever pedastal you were standing on was who was talking to you.

Also... "The Voice" from KH2 was probably Sora.

Thats my theory... although there is an awakening scene in my fan fic claiming to be Kingdom Hearts itself... thats something completly different.

 

Those are both interesting theories, I never really gave the voice much thought...​

 

I can support those. MAAYYYBE the kh2 voice being sora...but I kind of doubt that as well...wait...? Whose voice would it have been when sora was about to open the final door in end of the world? Somehow, I thought it was the keyblade, but I dont think that quite works out...

I think it very well could be Ven, because i'm a strong believer in the fact that Ven is asleep, Soraq is Ven's younger brother, and Ven has been erased from everyones memory exept Soraq and Terra's. They've forgotten him, but he isn't lost forever. Memories are never lost( ending of COM...duh?).

 

Hmm...I'm torn between the two theories. On the one hand, it makes sense if Kingdom Hearts itself is doing it, but with all the lack of info we have so far, it could just as easily be Ven...GAH! I can't take it anymore! I'm the voice that Sora's been hearing! And he's been listening to me wrong all this time! I've been telling him 'Get me cake!', not 'Don't be afraid!'...sorry, I snapped under all the pressure and anticipation...

I dunno...I think the only thing we can do is wait and guess...crap.

 

Im with this guy.. i think hes right on the money but that theory about it being the princess of heart not so much becuase " the voice" talked to him just after recieving the keyblade after riku faded into darkness while still on destiny islands and you think they would block it out for a reason hm?

Well, actually I did the voice with this guy.

I've given Sora countless tips and advice, but it never comes through.
Like, when he was told "You have the strongest weapon in the world" they left out my part that says "You have the strongest mass-produced weapon in the world."

And when he was told "You're the one who will open the door to light." I was saying "Only if we get a sequel!"

 

I think it's Terra. Maybe Ven I don't know. I think it has something to do with the keyblade or maybe something else. I think it's Terra though. And in Deep Dive you can clearly see a text that says, "His voice...it's left me." So it has to be a guy, not Aqua.

 

Stop saying FO SHOW!!!! It's getting annoying. Anyway, I ever since a read this theory about Ven, I thought he was the voice.

 

i cant be sure that its Terra or Ven but ven and roxas look a like...so i think theres a connection

Like he had gone straight to the source of the problem...and lost to Xehanort's Heartless.

 

ven as the voice.. that's a really good theory since they are related, maybe he died or something and is giving him advice

 

I have always thought of the voice as the King, but it could easily be one from the past as well. Like Ven. So I like this theory of him being a guide that you can only hear in your mind. It sounds like something Square would do.

 

I always thought that it was the Keyblade or the Light speaking to them...

 

Actually, since Terra picked up the Kingdom Key in the first trailer, he would likely have been the one to pass on the Keyblade, and therefore, would probably be the one to usher him into the world of the hero. So, I think it was his voice, not Ven's. However, it is quite possible. Either of them would explain why we didn't get to hear the voice. They didn't yet have voice actors.

That being said, I think that Riku went through the same before receiving the Way to Dawn, and that Ven talked to him here.

 

Personally, here's my thoughts:

In KH1 I think the voice that Sora hears is King Mickey. Why? Because he was involved from the start. And quite frankly, it sounds like something he would say. He would be knowledgable about the Keyblade, and also would probably know a way to communicate with Sora. As for Sora being the only one to hear the voice ever, in the time that I remember the voice speaking (and my memory is admittedly spotty) Sora was the only one around. Also, though I'm not entirely certain this counts as proof, but in a cutscene from KHFM Riku has a similar sort of voice expirience, which we later discover is King Mickey talking to him.

In KH2 I always thought the voice was Namine. She was sort of the one that took Roxas there in the first place, wasn't she? And she was there to pull him out of the darkness. If she wasn't the voice she had to have at least been watching. She was the one who explained a good deal of what was going on to him, or at least a good deal of anything that was explained to him. It always struck me that it was her.

That's not concrete proof though, and I'll agree, Sora and Ven are very much connected, and it very much must have something to do with Roxas, considering the look and dress nearly exactly alike. There wouldn't be anything... I don't know exactly how to say it... wrong, I guess (as in blatently disagreeing with the story-line or something Nomura's said) with Terra or Ven being the voice. It's not what I thought, but it's not a bad theory either.

Small thought, not sure if this makes sense or not, but in Nomura's mind, at least, were Terra or Ven even existant? Sure, because we never knew anything definate about who it was that could be how the story comes out, and that's all well and good, but is that really who it was originally? Nomura must have had someone in mind...

 

The voice was a third person omniscient that had direct contact with Sora. Following this logic, we should look at all the characters that MIGHT follow this description:

- Mickey
- Xehanort's Heartless (Ansem in KH1)
- DiZ/Ansem The Wise
- Xemnas or possibly another individual related to him.

In my personal opinion it would probably be Mickey or Ansem (The Wise). If not them, then definitely Xehanort's Heartless. Xehanort's Heartless was the "wise" or "all seeing" individual in KH1.

I can't quite remember if he was in KH2 when Roxas was in the area with the Twilight Thorn. If he was, it was by Ansem the Wise because he was the one operating his virtual world. Or it could be Xemnas or another Organization member, since they had broken into the system.
