I'm really kind of confused about Magnet and Reflect. It should be obvious what they do because of their names but they don't really seem very helpful to me.

I've actually never really used reflect because it never seemed like it worked for me, I think I might just be using it wrong, can anyone explain how you are supposed to use it to me?

For magnet, I have used it a few times but it doesn't seem very helpful. I can easily see how magnet works but like after you use it you are supposed to attack the enemies it draws in right? I can't really tell if I am even hitting the enemies when I use it, I find Chicken Little's summon much more useful. But then again, I maybe using this skill wrong again, if you could explain it to me, that would be very helpful.

For magent, a good trick is to use it and then thunder on your target, massive damage, mimumum effort.

OH makes sense. Do you have any idea how many enemies magnet draws in by the way?

I think it only draws in the enemies that are around you.I'm not sure though.

Reflect only works if you use it at the same time you're opponent hits you. It's actually pretty useful if you have good timing.

Oh, so if you use it when your opponent is not near you, it's pretty much useless? How long does reflect last? O.o

refelct doesnt last very long but if the oppent is still near you it reflects the attack and it does mass damage

Reflect is extremely useful in Boss Fights, and later on in the game. If you spam it when you come under attack, you'll reflect all the damage, and deal some back. You just need good timing.

Both of those Magics are good if used correctly. Reflect comes in handy when fighting Sephiroth; since it refelcts his dark sphere things. Magnet is good to use during the Underworld Arena. It draws them in, and youcan follow it up with a thunder. Use Photon Debugger for that combo.

Reflect to me seemed most useful for foes that fire things at you from a distance and it sends it back to them so that was easier to time. I really didn't have much use for the spell but in some areas it does make things easier such as when fighting Xaldin or fighting Sephiroth when he unleashes those dark orbs. Some people used it a lot more than I did. Since Reflect is a timed spell, if you have great timing it can be used in quite a few places. If not, you are better off just dodging and guarding.

Magnet was a spell that I found more useful because at first though it gathers only a few things and doesn't work on every single target, it does grow in power, gather more, and works on most targets. It could draw in things to make it easier to rack up points and complete the Jiminy Journal. I used it in Pooh's world where you had to fight the bees and get the group through safely to find Pooh. Another area was in the Hades tournament, where there are those aerial flyer Heartless in droves. Gathering them up and then casting thunder magic on them made short work of them, or using Magnet magic in a Form could kill them off without really needing to cast anything else. Another area it was useful was in Twilight Town on the job of gathering bees though you could also beat it by just using thunder magic and lock on as well.

Both spells were useful in the right places. Hope this helped.

As you level them up to Magnega, Reflega, etc. they become easier to use and are more powerful. When you are fighting a lot of small heartless, Magnet is useful. When fighting a boss or you're getting bombarded with attacks, Reflect is useful.

make attention: magnet for me is unuseless, but reflect is VERY IMPORTANT to block the bosses' attacks, and after that, next to you will appear some powerful bubbles that will remove many HP from the enemy like a HP bar sometimes
