Yeah what the hell is that xD
Well I don't know what other view there is other than thinking that they're false stories meant to scare kids or something.

    Sure,
A woman goes out for the evening with friends. Upon her return, she is greeted by her pet doberman choking in the hallway. Alarmed, she takes the pet to the veterinarian. The vet announces that he must perform a tracheotomy on the animal and he will call her when he has news. When the woman arrives home, the vet calls and tells her to leave the house at once. The dog was choking on three human fingers (often described as "Mexican Fingers" or "Black fingers"). The woman calls the police, who search the house. They discover the burglar, hiding in a closet, passed out from loss of blood.
    Thank You Wikipedia

((I have heard of the Chicken Lady, also the Bell Witch... Bloody Mary and so on... Chicken Lady is basically in very quick sum up= a lady who was left by her husband so she killed her children and herself. God wouldn't let her go to hell or haven therefore she was stuck on earth to find her child in order to die in peace.... She taps on windows and if you are a child and look at the window she will take you and drown you in the nearest body of water... Blood should be well known and the Bell Witch is about a ghost who killed a man... To know more look things up yourself or ask your family!!! ^^; ))

I know that one too =3 what happened was a boy and girl go out in with their car into a romantic place. There is strange sounds and the girl thinks they should leave because it is creepy... There is a good and bad ending... Good= the boy agrees to leave so they drive home and find a hook on the back trunk of the car... the Bad= They do lovey stuff in the car and the boy as to pee, so he gets out to do so in the forest behind a tree... The girl notices it is taking a rather long time. and I don't recall the rest... =/

The moral to that story was to not have premarital sex :D
Which was also the reason for the Friday the 13th series :P

As for the bad ending, i found 3 on the internet:

    1) He didn't return, and he didn't return, and then she heard a strange tap-tap-tap sound on top of the car. Tap-tap-tap. Despite her growing panic, she didn't get out and remained huddled there, all night long, listening to the irregular tapping sounds. Finally, the day grew light outside and she heard someone walking up to the car. A man's voice called out "Is anyone in there?" It was the local sheriff. She peeked out and he told her to get out of the car, walk down the road to the waiting sheriff's car, and whatever she did, not to look back at the car. She walked down the road to the sheriff's car but looked back at the last minute and saw her boyfriend's head impaled on the CB antenna, dripping blood onto the car.

    2) The girl waits in the car. It's been about 20 minutes when she hears a faint scratching noise. It starts to bother her, but she blows it off as the tree branches hitting the car, it had been windy that day, She decides to turn on the radio to listen to some music so it won't freak her out. Well, now it's been almost 2 hours and she's starting to get worried. Her boyfriend was a jock and could have easily made it there and back in under an hour. A half hour later she's very worried and decides to turn off the radio and look around. He had told her not to get out under any circumstances so she tries to peer out the window, she sees nothing. To her annoyment the scratching sound is still there. She decides that she will get out just long enough to break off that damn branch. She gets out and notices the gas can on the ground near the door. She immediately turns around and sees her boyfriend hanging upside down from the tree, throat slit, and his fingernails dragging across the top of the car making a scratching sound. Of course, had she been listening to talk radio instead of music, she would have known a maniac had escaped from the asylum near the woods where they were parked.

    3) Hours passed, and still no sign of him. She was beginning to get very nervous. Still more time went by, when she was startled by a horrendous banging on the back, then the top of the car. Before she could scream, the car was surrounded by police cars with lights flashing and sirens wailing.
A voice over a loud-hailer told her: "Get out of the car slowly, walk steadily towards the police line, and don't, repeat don't, look around." She did as she was told, but as she neared the police line, she couldn't stop herself looking round at the car to see what was making the awful thumping noise . . . only to see an escaped psychopath banging her boyfriend's severed head on the car roof.

They are exactly what the name implies. They are modern-day myths. None of it is real, just stories to whet the appitite of the population hungry for tall tales.

Yes. There's often a core of truth in them mind you, but they're ridiculously blown out of proportion.

^This. Almost every legend in history has at it's core a grain of truth. Sometimes, that truth is hidden in prehistory (I personally beleive that our legends of ogres and trolls came from Homo sapiens' first encounter with Neanderthals, for instance), and some may have been blown completely out of proportion, but there is usually a real precedent involved.
