Square-Enix Upcoming Final Fantasy IV Compilation

So SE is remaking FFIV again - But this time combined with The After Years to complete the set for the PSP. The After Years was only recently released on WiiWare.

This is so epic XD I got the US version of FFIV DS imported since I can't find it over here.
When I found out about, I was actually quite shocked. Isn't SE busy working on a re-worked version of FFXIV (The WHOLE development team got re-casted and everything), Versus and Agito? BBS FM? It's quite a vintage port we are seeing here, all the way from the SNES.

Thanks for providing the picture, I needed that. This is still pretty cool, I haven't played the After Years yet since I don't have a working Wii. (It broke)

I assume they have many different production teams working on the different games that are set to be released. Just yesterday FFXIV (ps3 version) and Deus Ex, dates have been delayed.

 

FFIV + The After Years? Fantastic! I don't have a Wii and plus this will be portable so you play while travelling!

I hope the DS team focus on FFV and FFVI next, maybe if we're lucky, there's some unscripted things they couldn't add in before.

Hey, has anyone already bought the game? Cause I'm doubting whether or not to buy it. I already have to ds version but I kinda think it's too difficult at times, really frustrating. I like to have a challenge, but I needed to go on the internet to know how to beat certain bosses in the game which I didn't like at all. Soo err my question is, is the psp version difficult too in the same way?

 

Yes, I have it - so a far I'm enjoying it. The difficulty is quite the same, but to me it's not too challenging, also since it's an expansion of the DS version, the all new Interlude adds a few more fights in the game. I say it's worth buying, if you're one of your favorite FF's is IV.

 

There's also a unique short story mode bridging the two games together a little...

I think it's a good idea and exciting :P Good for those who wanted TAY but didn't want to use wii ware and have a psp.

I'm going to get it, because I do stan FFIV a lot.
