Love is a fickle emotion. I would wait to see if he really does like ye before doing anything. Us men are rather predictable, especially at younger ages cuz we thought we were so sly back then.

Some people are just naturally flirtatious and it's easy to mistake that for romantic interest, or maybe he is interested! Point is, you'll never know by just hemming and hawing. If you like him and want to try taking your relationship further, ask him out. Start out slow, maybe a movie and a bite to eat, no pressure or anything. Test the waters and see where it goes! :]
I'm going to assume that you are between the age of 13-15/16 and he is the same. If your wanting to know if he likes you and you wanna date him, your probably gonna have to ask him yourself, because he probably won't do it himself, because he is a man.
