This is a rather dangerous situation right now. I'm hearing that lawmakers in the Crimean part of Ukraine want to make a referendum on whether to be a part of Russia or not. All this talk of sanctions against Russia though, I can't help but feel things are starting to feel like the Cold War again. Hope things don't get worse.

Okay, this really frightens me. We know that Putin has no love for America and that Russia has always wanted to regain the Soviet Satellite States. Putin isn't exactly a Bond villain. He knows what he's doing. Though the Russian people don't really like him too much, there's really nothing else they can do about it.

Anytime Russia is mentioned in the world news, I get nervous if not outright scared. The Cold War tensions have never really dissipated. Just sort of contained for the sake of appearances to the rest of the world.
