I do. Hardly use it. Seems like a waste...

 

Its been around for a while. Its popular, but its kind of useless. If you have facebook, imagine the status updates. Then imagine nothing else. That's twitter. Good for pedophiles though since you get to "follow people"

 

It's useless even for stalking

 

Twitter is like the stupidest thing ever. I mean seriously, get a facebook, at least you can take quizzes on your inner eye color on there.

 

I have vowed to stop taking quizzes. My home page is filled with them...O_O

some of my friends' quizzes:

Friend: OMIGAWD SO TRUE.

Somehow I saw this coming. Almost all of my friends got pot. I do admit I liked the "badass quizzes" though.

I do have a twitter account and use it very rarely. I would supply the link, but that would make me too much of an easy target for KHV Deathnote.

 

Twitter is a promotional tool and anyone who says it's stupid is someone who has no need for promotion of anything. It's also simple and easy to communicate with.

Example: Today on 106 and Park they displayed live feeds of Twitter messages about how fans felt about MJ's death during the music video count down.

Quit hating it because it's popular.

 

WHY DOES A PERSON HAVE TO HATE STUFF JUST BECAUSE IT'S POPULAR!?

That's getting really annoying. We just posted reasons we hate it. (It's useless for anyone that's not famous or a chatterbox).

 

I use Twitter because I'm too lazy to go on Myspace or Facebook or whatever. Sometimes, I just wanna randomly say things. I don't even care if no one reads them. It's also nice to follow my favorite webcomic artists so I know when they update their comic without having to check their website.

I actually have Facebook and Myspace accounts, but I never use them. It's too much of a pain to have to go and manually check them, when I can have Twitter updates sent directly to my phone.

BTW, in case anyone actually cares, the link to my account has been in my signature for months.​

 

Twitter is just facebook updates with a different name. You guys can have facebook stuff sent to your phone. It's called facebook mobile. And it varies from phone to phone. Anyway, I don't use Twitter, but I don't hate it. I have a facebook and that's it. It's all I really need. I think Twitter was aimed mostly for celebs to talk while busy with whatever they're doing. They can just send a text to the number and it updates it and then everyone that follows them can know what that person is doing.

 

See, I can't have Facebook on my phone, or my mom will get mad at me cuz it costs extra. :/​

 

Facebook mobile costs as much as your texting charges. So, if you have unlimited texting, it shouldn't matter.

 

Facebook does the same thing though. =/

 

It's slightly different in the sense that it is more of a social networking site, whereas twitter is more of a promotional site to pass information to the public rather than just adding them to your friends list.
Also, twitter is less of a "picture, comment and private message" type of website, such as MySpace and Facebook.


Until you look into detail, you are oblivious to these differences.
