Well, that's a first -- that I've heard of, anyway, as there was one back in the late '90s: http://www.kirotv.com/news/news/tornado-warning-issued-pierce-county/nhgtb/ Stay safe out there, @Jayn, @SynK, and @Sean B. Although I'll personally believe it when I see it, because Washington doesn't get tornadoes. Even if it does happen, though, our area personally is not in any danger, though it is stormy out there.
After watching Into the Storm I totally believe it, like I'm pretty sure tornadoes are gonna start popping up in random places one of these years.
Tornadoes actually happen a good bit in Georhia. I'm forturate enough to never actually see one. But several have touched down a few miles from me.
I know this is kind of irrelevant but I found it really funny when the other day I found out Massachusetts has an average of 3 tornadoes a year. I'm always like: "Wait, we do?" because I just live in a section where we are more likely to get water spouts than tornadoes. There's also the fact that Boston, the South Shore, North shore... we just seem to not care what happens in West Mass unless it hits Worcester. I mean, apparently we have had our three tornadoes and I only knew about the one that hit Worcester because it's a city. Basically it just comes down to the mentality of people saying with so little care, "Oh no... not the corn fields. anything but the corn fields." You guys stay safe though
Thanks, but like I said, we were personally safe (my mom and I), unless you were referring to the people I tagged. However, reading the article: I noticed the article on Facebook around 4:00 PM, so it was long over. -_- Have a look at the video in the link, though. It doesn't look that bad to me, personally.
actually we ended up having one in puallup one year which wasn't far from my grandpa old house when he was living in south hill.=/ so I wouldn't be surprised if there was one.
