Taken from, again, a news site I can't divulge but a lot of you would be able to guess (even if you can guess, please don't post the name or the site, due to trying to follow KHV's rules etc, thanks):

I guessed most of the anime on this list before I even read it (including order for the most part, although... I would have moved Kanon, Gurren Lagann and Nonoha a bit higher, but I agree with CLANNAD being top followed by AIR etc.) Anyway, I want to hear your opinions too, do you agree with the list? Is there any anime you would add? etc.
(again to clarify, these ratings were voted for and put on a news site. These aren't my own opinions, I just happen to agree with most of them.)

You know that I have only seen a few of those, but from what I have seen CLANNAD, Evangelion, Gurren-Lagann and Nanoha all deserve their places on that list, although I would've moved Nanoha a bit higher. I'm seriously biased on that matter though, so I guess we can't go on just my opinions. If the Heaven's Feel route of Fate/Stay Night got an anime or OVA though, that could most likely get a mention on the list.

The lack of One Piece on here disappoints me. Mother Sea is about as tearjerkery as it can get.

Oh, I see, One Piece is in the other list.

Here's the mainstream list, from the same site.

I did my best to resist Grave of the Fireflies, I really did. I mean, it's not as though it took the viewer by surprise or anything. It started by announcing the main characters' death. Even so, the funeral of the little sister...

For the late-night list, I would have liked to see some Now and There, Here and There (Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku) up there, as it was suitably sad. Code Geass could also have made an appearance.

Evangelion never really seemed the tearjerker anime typ—— Actually, scratch that. A quick trip to TV Tropes changed my mind. Eva is tearjerking. Definitely.

Although I'm glad that Grave of the Fireflies took top on at least one of the lists, I'm disturbed at the lack of Fullmetal Alchemist. The series; not really all that tear-jerky. But the Conqueror of Shambala movie... I'm not even sure I knew what was going on, and I was still crying.

I've seen like a total of three of these animes so I don't have a decent opinion.
But Fruits Basket did make me pretty sad at the penultimate episode when Kyo yelled "DON'T LOOK AT ME!"
Full Metal Alchemist should definitely be on that list, and Code Geass, as mentioned.
One Piece, I haven't seen enough episodes of, but the ones I did see did get pretty emotional.
Naruto, the scene after Sasuke joined Orochimaru and fought Naruto and Kakashi was piggybacking Naruto home, that was a bit tearjerking (the AMV I watched on it probably didn't help any).
    S-CRY-ed, the death of a certain character left with wet eyes ; ;

I heard Negima had a few tearjerking scenes.

The real tearjerker here for me is the fact that I haven't seen any of these anime, on either of the lists. Then again I barely watch any anime so that is rather understandable. From the ones I've seen Full Metal Alchemist is probably the one that has gotten me the closest, the part with that one daughter and the dad, y'know the one! In both the original and Brotherhood that scene got me on the verge of crying. I'm sure there was at least one other anime I nearly cried, but I can't remember which it was. Was it one of the To Aru series'? I don't think it was, but it is possible. Was it Bleach? ... I think it might have been actually, and it was in one of the fillers even. Actually now that I think about it I started getting teary eyed when watching Berserk too lol. Oh I'm just a little sissy.

So yeah, cool list I suppose!

It's a matter of opinion on what a tearjerker is, but I actually find a certain episode of Star Driver to be quite a tearjerker (I didn't cry since I was playing Pokemon while watching it, but a forum I saw it discussed on where all bawling and whatnot). I won't go into details for the sake of spoilers but damn, it was pretty sad. And this is only in the first half of the show. The second half can be a bit of a tearjerker for some but it didn't really get me, I kinda thought the second half was worse than the first.

Anywho, I agree that FMA should be on there just because of Nina (that was her name right?).
One Piece is a huge tearjerker, sometimes it feels like they won't stop trying until everyone is crying. The main crew are a collection of the saddest backstories ever.
