Tomorrow at 12:00 PM I have the writing and reading sections of the GED test. The writing part is multiple choice and consists of 50 questions that include things like, "What correction is needed here? a) add a comma between such and such, b) insert [word] after [word], etc.)" and "Which revision would improve the effectiveness of this? a) move sentence 1 to follow sentence 8, b) remove sentence 11, etc." and a five-paragraph essay consisting of one introduction, three bodies, and one conclusion. The reading part is multiple choice and consists of 40 questions. Both of these are on computer. I have no doubts about the writing, but I didn't get great scores on my last two practice reading tests (20 questions since the actual tests on each subject are twice as long) at the GED place before our spring break started on March 18. I was given a top 50 reading skills book to practice with. I'm going to go over the top 50 skills and exercises tonight, but I finished the pre-test last night and only got 31/50, which is a 62.0% D-. I'll be at the testing center for 235 minutes. I needz the luck of the Irish.
Believe in me what you will. There is a duty that I'm sworn to do. YOU KNOW NOTHING OF MY LIFE! All I did was steal some bread!
No, don't believe in the me who believes in you or the you who believes in me. Believe in the Amaury who believes in Amaury.
Roundabout way of saying "You're on your own." lol jk Good luck Amaury ^^ I'm not Irish, but I love ponies if it's any consolation.
I honestly didn't catch the reference. I'd feel ashamed if it wasn't for not having seen the show in several years. But, if you think about it, my statement still stands.
Yeah, but it's more the "You got this," connotation of "You're on your own," not the "Hahaha. Good luck," connotation.
Test is in two hours and 56 minutes, but I'll be getting there 30 minutes early -- although they say 15 minutes early at least.
I like arriving at places early, gives me time to prepare/etc. Good luck again on your test Amaury ^^ Wish you the best.
Passed reading with a 480. I won't know about the writing for a few days since the essay part is human corrected. I'm not worried about my strong point, though.
Got the results for the writing 18 minutes ago (2:29 PM). I scored a 700. So I've got reading (480) and writing (700) out of the way, and my current average is 590. A 410 is a pass, but you need a 450 average across all tests to pass the GED. That means that 410s on each test wouldn't pass you. Additionally, if you get below a 410 on a test, you must retake it.
