To those of you who play minecraft,

Is the thirty bucks worth it?

 

Hell yeah!
It's a great game, but you need to know how to play it though in order to like it

 

...sorry, had to

 

just buy some legos.

 

And then use little kids with short attention spans to act as Creepers.

 

Or have a decent video card.​

I love it, personally. Totally worth it. And there is a demo, so try it out.​

 

Seems rather pricey - but honestly, Minecraft is a lot of fun c:

Thirty bucks right now, not really. The ~twenty five bucks back in Beta was worth it, though. It's a good game, but a tad overpriced for how much you're likely to play it after a year or so of owning it.

Redstone isn't the only thing in Minecraft. I mean yeah, it's the best thing, but not the only thing.

 

I'm glad I bought it when it was like, ten bucks.

It's an awesome game though. Definitely very addicting if you're a creative person.
And survival mode is always fun.

 

Really depends if you like that kind of game.

I bought it a while back, thought it was the best thing ever, and then got incredibly bored of it.

Haven't touched it in months.

 

That's my relationship with it too. I like it, and it's way fun, but I get bored of it whenever I play for more than a few days in a row.

 

I love it personally. But I didn't pay for it because my boyfriend and I just share his account. I really enjoy creative mode.

If you aren't in love with the idea of buying it, you should totally consider what everyone else said

I think I will get it.
But I think I'm gonna wait until winter break, because this seems like one of those things I will play for a week straight and neglect everything else.

 

The game is worthless without redstone. It's what makes anything worth doing possible. Everything else is an unmitigated waste of time. Monument building is for children and adventuring hasn't become a legit thing. There were some hacks but let's be honest, they're not that cool.

 

What is Redstone? I've never heard of it. Then again I don't have Minecraft, though my friends do.

 

Redstone is what conducts electricity. It's what allows digital logic to occur in Minecraft.

 

Redstone is used to make...like, well anything you can imagine, if you're good with it. Like an automatically opening wall, for instance. Making enemies spawn from a tripwire. Pulling the ground out from under you and making you fall in lava. Etc. (Or what Jiku said)​
