I keep on breaking my heart So I can keep reminding my self That I am still alive from the pain Joy and happiness just don't cut it Like it did when was a child I want to be set free But I am always trapped I need the key to free my self And I need your help to find it But I still refuse your help Why is it the pain that proves I am a live When all it does it make me want to die I was to break free of this heart break I never want to move on with life Because I know I will forget The pain I have felt before Just as a reminder That I am real Even thought I long for it I still want to run away from this pain But I would rather feel alive Then feel like nothing And so I stay Why is it the pain that proves I am a live When all it does it make me want to die I was to break free of this heart break So I will just accept this is part of my life -------------- This has nothing to do with right now in my life, it's just two years ago around this time my Grandma was rushed in and I never went to see her, so when she died in November the same year it hurt me more, and sometimes I remembering the pain like this make me feel more real then anything else
That made me wanna go see my grandma even more than I did before I read this. She's suffering from Kidney failure right now. She lives almost 900 miles away, so its not going to happen right away. Makes me sad. Nice poem though, even though the tone was sad. 'Twas pretty nonetheless.
Hmm the idea of pain proving we are still alive is one I can relate to ^^ I really liked this Annie, it is insightful (spelling?) and well written :)
