I borrowed Halo 3 ODST from my boyfriend for the holidays and I got hooked on playing it. I decided to make a sig with Buck in it. I have to say, he looks and sounds like Mal from Firefly, acts like him sometimes too. Anyways, here we are: It did have text but I took it out because a) I suck at text placement and b) It looked gay. Oh well, I had a lot of fun making this anyway. XD CnC and all that jazz please.
Well I think the effects you added to the actual render are quite lovely, but the stock placement is bad. Read up on the rule of thirds, it will help you tremendously. Rotate your render to give you a start on flow too. As you get better you may not need this as much, but it helped me to start to understand flow. Left side is nice, I think the colors go well, but the right not so much. The effects in the background are very random though. Try to stick with one consistent theme and don't rely heavily upon premade brushes.
I only used a brush a couple of times, the rest of it is smudging and C4D fractal renders. Thanks for the CnC, it is much appreciated.
Looks nice. Do what Misty said. Maybe make the colors less bland too. By the way, Buck is based on that Firefly character. The actor is his voice actor.
