I know it's just CoD with jetpacks and mecha..... but it has jetpacks and mecha. I'm conflicted. I'm actually really hyped for this game. I loved CoD4 and kinda liked MW2, so I'm interested to see what this delivers as the minds of behind both of those titles are making this bad boy. More importantly, I want to see what this matchmaking campaign mode has to offer. This could be quite the legendary experience or one solid fuck up.
I may be mistakened, but I'm sure Titanfall is coming to the PC as well. On this game though. I'm not too sure how to feel. Yea I know it has mechs and all that fancy stuff, but I've been bogged down by too much generic FPS games the last few years and I'm under the assumption that it'll run too much like a regular FPS (More on the Halo side).
Played this at gamescom in august. Was certainly interresting, played very similar to COD, but I was rather turned off by the fact it would be multiplayer only. Might still pick it up on PC though
Its interested me for a while, and if it sells well it'll be XBOX only (Which I disapprove of). Probably will do well. I know I'll get it... someday... when there is money in my wallet for such joys and wonders. The game to me looks like Attack on Titan x Call of Duty. Will also bring new definition to the phrase wall bouncing.
Having played the beta, you would be right. It pretty much is just Call of Duty in space. there is absolutely zero focus on teamwork or strategy. It's really just a particularly well polished paint by numbers twitch shooter.
One group of journalists said that it was effectively a modded CoD in how it played. I mean what do you expect from the creators of CoD? But that's the problem, i sunk days into CoD originally, becoming near addicted to trying to do better though I was failing and wasn't having any fun whilst doing it. It was all a compulsion. So adding personal vehicles and more verticality doesn't feel me with the idea that much has changed. I mean I have Battlefield, that's enough. But for CoD players looking for something newer, certainly recommend it.
Oh, yeah. If you want something similar to Call of Duty with new features, you can't go wrong with Titanfall. I'll just sit here and continue to wait for Space Marine 2.
