358/2 Days Timeline for the game?

when does this game actually take place? the new trailer shows you can use marluxia but he's dies after departing for Castle Oblivion. also, Riku is shown in a blindfold which doesn't occur until AFTER Chain of Memories. also, Roxas was born when Sora stabbed himself with the dark keyblade, so.......Roxas was only in the organization for a few days when Marluxia and company left for Castle Oblivion? the time that has elapsed since KH1 and COM is ambigious, but it's not that long of a time elapse. this whole thing is confusing me, can someone shed some light on this?

well we can play with all organization 13 (14) members and i think marluxia only appear at wirelless (or Wi-Fi) mode in the trailer

and i think it was already said that the story happens when roxas join the organization, after COM

 

It probably starts when Sora becomes a heartless (or when Roxas is "born") and lasts untill KH2 starts.

 

That seens fairly sound.

We don't know what the time scale is for all these events (Prior to Sora sleepin), so it could be a matter of days Marluxia is seen/available in the game before he meets his end in Castle Oblivion.

 

it seams i was wrong marluxia and all others appears, but maybe roxas joined when ansem died and organization discovered the way to they get heart but they will need someone to defeat the heartless and then it was when roxas join that what i think

 

Beginning starts before CoM (introducing Roxas' and Xion's arrivial to the Organization, and probably a little tutorial.) Then maybe the game starts after the events and then ending at the point where KH2 starts.

 

Basicaly Roxas' entire existance. I'm guessing we'll see him being found in twilight town and getting named and everything until his last 7 days.

 

No, Roxas join the organization BEFORE CoM.

You can tell because Vexen show Sora the Twilight Town mansion were Roxas was born.

 

makes sense i guess, but that would mean that the 6 members that die in Castle Oblivion are unplayable after that point, that would suck. i wonder if we'll play the last week in Twilight Town again. huh, maybe Sora could be the last boss in this game if they just allow it to happen from Roxas' point of view.

 

I think the last boss will be Riku and that the last 7 days won't be playable, and also I think in Multiplayer the 6 from CoM will still be playable.

 

Riku makes sense too. except, i wish the last boss was someone Roxas actually beats in a fight, it'll seem more fitting in my opinion. oh yea, Nomura DID say Multiplayer has no correlation to single player mode. it'll be interesting seeing what Roxas is doing while the events of COM is happening as well.

 

358/2 Days starts before CoM as the game's prologue covers Roxas' birth. However, the game really starts once he enters the Organization, still right before CoM. As we can see, Xion enters the Organization before CoM as well since the CoM members are seen in the cutscene.

The main part of the story is about Roxas' life and thoughts in the Organization so the game covers the entire year Sora was asleep in the pod. It ends right before Roxas is captured by Riku, and since Nomura has said that Riku will be a playable boss battle, plus one of the older trailers supposedly showed said battle, Riku will more than likely be the final boss.

Basically, also according to Nomura, 358/2 Days fills in all of the plot holes of the timeline connection between KH1, CoM, and KH2.

As for the CoM members being playable, they are only playable in multiplayer mode, as multiplayer mode will be (again, in Nomura's words) "treated as an alternate world".
