    . . .

    THUNDERCATS, HOOOOOOOO!

Plz gaiz, don't tell me I'm the only one excited to see what this restart of the series brings to the table. This is one of the shows I practically grew up with and it's one of the awesomest things ever made. This revamping, I really hope it's awesome.

The thing I'm worried about though is since Cartoon Network has gone a bit mainstream, this new series might not get as much popularity as some would hope.

    Thoughts? :3

Actually, I heard that it first aired July 29th (which in my time zone was about two and a half hours ago) so I assume the first episode is already out and they'll be rerunning it.

Finally got around to watching the first episode. I'm liking it a lot so far, it's certainly different but it's very solid. Will definitely be following this series.

well, I'm just glad I can handle the animation now. If I were watching the older series I don't think I could handle it. But at least the designs are a little more...well more(please pardon the eragon quote)

I wouldn't say it is a restart of the series, more of a sequel to it.

    Explanation:
    1. In the original, they move to Third Earth from Thundera. In the new one, they are already on it and the city is named Thundera.
    2. The Thundercats already have the Claw Shield (the thing on Lion-O's left arm at the end) when they actually found it on Third Earth in the original (if I remember correctly)
    3. The Book of Omens is mention, which the original Thundercats didn't know about until the last episode of the series

But I am not complain that this is a sequel. Far from it. I actually enjoyed this very much. I nearly pissed myself when Claudius yelled "THUNDERCATS HO!" because the voice of Claudius was the original Lion-O. And dang... when did Cheetara get that hot?

Tygra kinda acted like a jerk, IMO.

My only real complaint would be the voice acting of WilyKit and WilyKat.

    I<3 Snarf!!!

you know, I've never watched the original, but while I was watching the premire, I was actually thinking it might be a sequal. There were a lot of points in the premire that could lead to it being a sequal.

Never got to see the original, but I found it interesting as soon as I saw the premire the other day, lol.

EDIT: Oh, and the way I see it, this is a continuation of the series since, from what I've read in this thread, this seems to be true.
