Yep. It's National Coming-Out day. We had GSA today and so several of us made plans and promises to tell someone close to us. Mum already knew but I'd been scared to tell my dad. It went better than expected for sure.

You'd be surprised how many people aspire to be gay.

 

You guys have a GSA? A high school in a town near here had a straight boy try to start one. The principal ended up not only rejecting the idea, but physically assaulting the student for wearing a GSA shirt.
But that's Tennessee for you.

Oh gosh we talked about that today. I wrote an article for it for the city's GSA mag. 8( What the literal **** I mean dskh;kgwq why. And how did no one suspect the principal earlier? I live in Kentucky and generally it's not much better but I live in both of the two largest towns and it seems the bigger the place, the less the hate. Odd, how that works, huh? I hope some legislature is written in TN to stop this behavior. You guys have had a LOT of bad experiences lately as far as gay issues go...

I'm still trying to get up the nerve to tell my family I'm asexual. But congratulations on coming out and being successful at it.

 

Asexual as not interested in sex? Yeah, I make it a point to tell everyone I know this, but so far only one has believed me, and she's not even family.
