You're driving down a dark road. Mist creeps across the road, dimming your headlights as rocks fly from the tires, a small ping created each time they meet the paint job of your car's exterior. As you approach the fork in the road, you can see the lights of a small gas station piercing through the fog. On the right lays darkness and mist in equal measure, an uncertain route. Which way do you turn? (This isn't a story. This is your story. And the result of a very long day coupled with extreme boredom and a desire to integrate with some of the finest minds the Internet can produce in order to create a social experiment that will no doubt fail.)
I bet you expect to see a bowling alley on your left, and then the Historical Society on your right further along the road.
If you turned left Spoiler The car creeps forward into the most, until you can no longer see the road, or the direction in which you are heading. You can only hope that as you crawl forward, the tires slowly rotating against the ground, that you manage to keep the car from getting stuck. You manage to successfully maneuver the car for ten more minutes, before the lights flicker, and the car dies with a groan and a creak. Trying frantically to turn the key, you realize you have run out of gas. Do you remain near the car and hope for rescue? Or continue on foot? If you turned around Spoiler Shia LeBeouf promptly appears in front of the car, his teeth glowing from the headlights as he maniacally grins. Given the state of his clothes, his wildly tangled hair, and overgrown beard, he has been out here quite a while. You turn and try to back the car up, only to smash the rear end into an unfortunately placed tree. As you press your foot on the gas, trying to urge the car forward, Shia continues his slow approach, his grin only widening with each passing step. You frantically search for something, anything as his long fingernails glide across the front of the car, creating a screech that runs shivers down your spine while simultaneously ruining your paint job. You could use your keys as a weapon, or the umbrella or map that sit in the passenger seat next to you. Your cell phone is also an option. What do you do?
