If you had a friend who talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?

Not very long. It would be terribley awkward and I'd sooner suicide than remain friends.

That person obviously knows me too well for his own good, so I'll just surprise him by making whatever decision he's unlikely to expect.

Whoever can talk to me like I talk to myself would definitely need therapy. So for the good of his/her/its mental health, not very long. ^^

There's not a personon the planet who can do that. I am one of the wierdest people I have ever met. If someone ever WERE able to do that, I would say they definitely need therapy.

Erm,well I actually had to read this twice to get it.

Do you mean like, they know way too much for their own good?
Because in that case I wouldn't completely stop being friends with the person, just distance myself from them.

It's hard to say, because if someone knows way too much about you;you may get the "ew stalker" feeling.
Although,if they knew you for such a long time,it isn't that bad.

I'm sure most of my friends hardly know anything about me.
So,it's actually hard for me to say.
I'm going to give my final answer after babbling:
I'd distance myself from the person;then eventually just try to fade out from being friends, instead of starting drama/fights.

If you speak negatively about yourself a lot then that person will talk negatively about you to you for example.

Ah, I see. Then I'm afraid I misunderstood the first time.
In that case, it depends on that other person's willingness to be friends. If he speaks ill of me the way I do, then it's up to him to decide whether I still have a place in his life.
I wouldn't be angry with him or feel sad. After all, he just follows your own opinion, and to get upset about it would be quite hypocritical.

I don't think I've ever met someone that could do that. Even a friend I have since 8th grade can't pull that off often and we know each other as well as anyone could.

If I did have a friend who could mirror my own thoughts I'd wonder if he or she was a clone. I guess it'd depend. I don't mind people knowing the -real- me but if they could always figure me out, that'd be very strange but it'd depend on how disturbing it was. I may find it amusing.

Well to be honest, I have a couple of friends that know each other really well to the point where one of them just walks into the other's house and their parents are like "Yeah she's upstairs". (they're neighbors). They've known each other for a long time so I don't blame them. To me personally, I prefer to have friends that know stuff about me, but not to a point like my to friends that I explained. I'm not a mean person, so if I had a friend that talked to me how I talk to myself, or just knew so much about me, I guess I would remain their friend out of courtesy, but sometimes I tick myself off for random reasons. If that person randomly got mad like I did at myself, then I probably wouldn't remain friends very long. I guess it just depends on the situation. Wow I ramble for a long time >:C

Probably as long as they wanted. I don't really talk to myself unless I'm practicing making up excuses, practicing speeches or practicing debate strategies in the mirror. Otherwise I pretty much listen to music. That person would be solemn. lol

Not very long. Talking to yourself is not common so it's not going to last.
