I'm not noticing anything different, and I stared for more than 20 seconds. Am I doing something wrong

 

Stare at the middle where there's a sort of tube going up. Stare at it for as long as you like.


Now look around your room.

 

I was staring at the center

 

Then something's wrong with you.

 

The result is like some special effect that came out of a horror movie.

 

It was on tumblr under the title "Get High Without Drugs".


So I clicked it.

 

It's like a distortion field; it will look like your room is turning in on itself, spiralling on your center of vision. You won't notice if you don't look for it.

 

False advertising

Meditation is getting high without drugs. No seriously.

 

Meditation = Relaxing the mind.

Getting High= Relaxing the mind.




It all makes sense now....

Depends on the kind of meditiation, but fair enough.

 

There's more than one book on meditation, likely from Hindu/Buddhist mystics and so on, which outline various simple-sounding exercises one can do to open one's mind. Quite a few of said books end with, "Or you can just take drugs." It's essentially taking a helicopter to the top of the mountain instead of climbing it.

That said, I'm climbing. I'll appreciate the view a lot more.
