Not to me. I could easily fake being a badass with an electric. Especially if find someone who likes stupid looking tapping solos. Either way, electric gets out more sound with hammer ons/pull offs...and harmonics...
Which is why I specifically said in tone and precision. An acoustic will drown out your mistakes with it's sound a lot more than an electric. Example: if you leave strings to ring out when you shouldn't you can clearly hear an annoying buzz on an electric, if you do it with an acoustic it's fairly benign. You were talking about something entirely different and not everyone with an electric is a dumb caveman.
