Okay, so I think Roxas's life looks like this:

Born after Sora released his heart
    Something
    Becomes chaser
    Joins Organization XIII
In order to learn who he is he leaves the Organization
    Fights Riku, wins
    Rights Riku, loses
    Taken to DiZ
    Put in virtual Twilight Town
    Fuses with Sora

So we don't know what happens between him being born or most of the stuff pertaining to his birth, except for the fact that he technically has Sora's body and Sora is his heartless back to his human self. Or how he was a Chaser (People don't think that's him but God, it looks EXACTLY like him), or what happened after the secret ending fight and how he joined the organization. And then that "He looks a lot like you" conversation appears somewhere.

    But my stupid theory:

Ever notice when you're walking in KH2 you make that clanking noise? ooo:! Chaser! CHASER!! It still makes it no matter what keyblade, too. Of course maybe Sora just has pop cans in his shoes.

    DISCUSS.

Unless Square pulls some "Uh... Xehanort! He can make clones! Yeah let's go with that." then there isn't a doubt it my mind that that is Roxas. D:

It really is hard to decide what's up with Roxas and what's not. To go further on what you stated, you're right, we really don't know what happened in the gaps that we weren't able to see. And the time line is kind of messed up (not yours, just in general) when you sit down to think about it, so that might also go hand-in-hand with the theory of Roxas being one of the Knights.

I'm still debating on him being what you call a 'Chaser', though you're right, the resemblance is striking. So it's a 50/50 chance, even when Nomura said the Knights were completely new and such. Though we all know how much he likes to fib/mess with our minds~

Anyway, I was hoping in Final Mix + that they'd finally explain a few things about the time Roxas was alive and kicking, though we'll see as soon as clips spring up/we play the game ourselves. But it's interesting to think that some of the events happening in the new KH II FM + Secret Ending could have to do with him.

Let's try to keep all of the theories in one place, k?

Anyway, it's an interesting theory, I'll give you that. However, shouldn't Mickey though have the Reverse Keyblade instead of Star Seeker? While I do agree the information we receieve on Roxas' background during his time with and before Organization XIII is little, I thought Roxas was originally found by Xemnas.

    I posted this yesterday:

I suppose, and this might say that the Secret ending was in the past. Like, maybe when Roxas was 'born' from Sora releasing his heart he became a Chaser, later joined the Organization, fought Riku, and went into DiZ's twilight town. Blah blah blah.

Because the fairies gave him the keyblade, so Mickey probably gave it to them when he found the Dark Realm's Kingdom Key. Yen Sid is Mickey's teacher after all.

He didn't have that keyblade yet.
