Since there has been no news on the new KH titles for at least 5 months, I am beginning to wonder if they're considering changing platforms. Now, don't shut me out! I've got reasons:
First, the problems they have been having with the DS. They complain that the platform does not have enough memory/power, since they are trying to make the game in full 3D with voice acting. The PS2 was capable of doing that with KH1 and KH2, but can the DS really match up? And with multi-player? By the end of this summer!?! But since I do not own a DS maybe I wouldn't know. I haven't seen a 3D game on it yet, so I do not have the best idea. Though, smaller the platform=lesser the quality.
Second item on the list is the lack of news on all the games. If they are considering a change in platforms, (which is not official, just an observation folks), then they wouldn't release news until it was set in stone. But, seriously, I could be wrong.
However, I have heard there is a new PSP and DS coming out....
Bleh... I can't make up my mind. Help? :xp:

Umm...are you talking about BBS or 358/2? Because, unless I've missed something, you've pretty much described 358/2.

I am talking about both. "The new KH Titles." I used 358/2 Days as an example, since it is the first one to be released. I realize my post was a little confusing. Sorry 'bout that! 8)

Ah. I couldn't tell at first because this thread was in the BBS category, and you talked about the DS...well, anyway...

It wouldn't surprise me if they went multiplatform, but all the same, I find it highly unlikely.

From what I've heard, the new DS will be first shown at E3 this July. I'm not too sure what they could improve on, besides making it more mutli-medial like the PSP... and since we're on the topic of new PSP's, I haven't heard of anything about a new PSP design, besides the red PSP slim that's coming out in a God of War: Chains of Olympus package this summer.

There have been a few 3D rendered games for the DS, though most of them have been from Nintendo, Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64 DS, and Nintendogs all come to mind.

I really don't think Square would be considering switching systems, but one never knows...

I hope they do change platforms for 385/2 Days to the PS3 instead of the DS.The PS3 can properly utilise its full potential.

When I was in Japan, I saw the new PSP Slim, but I do not know if the games for it are PSP Slim exclusive.
Thank you for the 3D game list. I will look those up shortly.

See, the problem is with the PS3 is that most of the games for it are very short, due to the amount of hard work that goes into them. Look at Heavenly Sword or Portal. Both games are very short... but I guess they're also very good (my opinion so don't slaughter me). If Square was to put both games on the PSP, it might work, but it would still be difficult. That's the problem with small platforms. They should have just started making it for the PS3 in the first place, even if the graphics were equivalent to KH2.
