This is a thread about Final Fantasy XII.

Dear god, I haven't been this absorbed in a game in years. I've been playing for the past three hours and just now went, "Holy ****, it's 3:30 in the morning!"

I think Final Fantasy XII might be the best open world RPG of all time.

 

It's the only MMO I ever beat

 

But Final Fantasy XII isn't online.

Ivalice is definitely big enough for one, though. I'll give you that.

Yeah, they really dropped the ball on that one, I mean people give EA **** for not being able to get online with Sim City for a few days but XII was offline since day one adn Square never fixed it. Hell we never even got an apology

 

I don't like it, I love it. This is also notable because I haven't actually loved a game in years either.

Yeah, I hate that Always Offline DRM, but it's still a very solid game. And besides that, Sim City's main problem is that you can't play offline. FFXII doesn't have that problem.

 

Stop living in the past. The future is online, if you can't always be online you're obviously living in some backwards land where everything is the opposite
