How did Kairi's heart get into Sora anyway?

Was it because of what happened in the secret place (him trying to catch her) or something else entirely?

 

Yeah, I'm sure that's when it happened. And I think that's what I read on the Kingdom Hearts wiki.

 

It's kinda assumed that's the point when it happened. To my knowledge there's no report that specifically says when, but that scene kinda implied that's what when her heart went into him.

 

But what happened to Sora's heart when he released it to free Kairi's? Actually I'm also confused about that.

When Aqua meets a young Kairi, She places a protective charm on her to help her in the future, because she knew that their meeting was no coincidence.

 

This really doesn't make sense to me. So her heart went into Sora because

Aqua magically enhanced her necklace to protect her? That would mean that the necklace was why her heart went into him.

That more or less sounds like the reason that

she ended up on Destiny Islands, not why her heart went into him.

 

How? It was revealed through the Ansem Reports that Xehanort sent Kairi adrift into the Gummiverse or whatever suspecting she was a Princess of Heart and would find the Keyblade (or something like that). She ended up at Destiny Islands that way. Though whether or not her heart really did lead her to the island or if it was simply video game luck, I don't know.

No one else who lost their heart sent it into someone else (Well, I guess Ven? and Master Xehanort, but that's a different case and situation altogether). It makes sense, to me at least, that the charm protected Kairi's heart by sending it into Sora who just happened to be the closest person.

Well when you put it that way it does make sense and just to clarify this

Ven did willingly go into Sora. Here's the story. He lost his heart after the fight with Vanitas and since Sora had helped him recover after having his darkness stolen away, it's probably safe to say that that's why he ended up going to Sora who then let's him inside saying, 'I don't want you [Ven] to be sad'. (Not done with everything yet so this is just my personal theory. Oh and I spoiled the final ending and Secret ending for myself already. XP)

 

Of what I think, Kairi lost her heart in sometime when riku & sora were talking. & when sora went to the secret place/cave kairis heart must have kept her image (while I think her body was somewhere else) & when he tried to hug her that's when it went inside him. and I'm also guessing that since most of the princesses already lost their heart, sora already had their hearts inside him in the beginning until he finally released them at hollow bastion.

 

For the record, Aqua put the spell on Kairi, not the necklace. So it's possible that she was protected by the spell in both cases.

As for me, I always thought that since a "naked heart" can't exist for more than a few seconds and a heart of pure Light cannot be overtaken by darkness, Kairi's heart knew that it would have to find a vessel and chose Sora.

 

Huh? Sora never had the other Princess of Hearts inside him. He only had Kairi's heart.

 

There is no official explanation. However my theory is that...

And that's about it methinks. However it's never been truly explained and so it's just up to WMGing. I also think that if Aqua's gift worked once why couldn't it work again? Eh?

 

That I can tell you for sure no. The princesses weren't killed, they were captured. The whole heart release thing was because the keyblade that Sora used to kill himself was made of the princesses hearts. Why the keyblade decided to blow up at that moment I don't know, but those six hearts weren't from Sora only Kairi's was.

 

My mistake, RikusLight & Mixt are right. The princesses hearts were joined up to create the dark keyblade which sora used to free kairis heart.& when it was destroyed that's when all their hearts returned to them.
