    Option 2, because
    1) As good a character she played, I never really liked Billie Piper.
    2) Option 2 kinda shows more of the truth behind the Doctor; there's been more than one person he's displayed interest in, but it went wrong somehow for each of them. The words also stand for something that he does; the human heart being a very good thing, no matter how much hurt it goes through.

    Well, I actually thought Billie Piper did a decent job. She brought something to the end of season two that made me understand part of the "curse of the Time Lords"~

    and then Donna had to show up and kill the moment

    One, despite that Rose/Doctor was "oh my god tears", I thought she was a more interesting character with Eccleston.
    Two, I think I cried a little bit at the first one, and I can't deal with that every day.
    And third, I think the second one expresses more emotion, lets non-fans really understand: This is the Doctor.

    The Doctor's assistants are... Expendable compared to the main man himself. The shows not called 'Doctor' Who for nothing.

    In my opinion; Rose Tylor was a great character that really worked well with both of 'her' Doctors, but Billie Piper herself I just didn't like. I tend to seperate the characters and the actors in my mind.

    No arguement with Donna ruining moments though.

    Hmm, that's tough. I can't really decide. Rose Tyler was a good character, and it's cool looking, but the 11th doctor is my favorite, but just seeing him staring out like that is kinda boring.
    I guess I'm probably leaning more towards to first one though, just because it shows a little more scenes than the other. And yes, that is what I'm deciding by.

    And Misty, don't forget
    Rose comes back in the last few episodes of season 4. And she even has a little cameo in one of the episodes in Season 6, along with Donna and Martha
