Chain of Memories think the re-make is good?

i thought the re-make was waaaay better than the gba veriosn of chain of memories. Better graphics for one, second, its lot more fun :P

 

any PS2 remake of a game originally on the GBA will be better >_>

 

Seriously...of course it was better,your comparing a hand-held to a console game.PS2 is obviously better.

 

It is better, but what bugs me is that they don't have link mode included in the remake :/

I don't really like it...I've played it, but I just can't get the feel for it.

 

thats not true, I prefer the GBA version personally. it feels better as a hand held 2d to me, making it a console 3d is weird to me, and uncomfortable to play.

 

I'd still go with handheld bcause of its simplicity,but if it ever came out in america I'd buy it.

 

Uh-huh, the remake is good alright. However, I wouldn't go as far as calling it better. True, the game looks better, but the gameplay feels exactly the same except it's a hell of a lot slower. That, and the difficulty was toned down a lot in the remake. Even in Proud mode the game was ridiculously easy compared to the original. (which wasn't that hard to begin with) I've played the original nearly 20 times (and 4 or 5 times with Riku) so I'm quite familiar with it. In the remake you don't need any skill at all to beat the first form of Marluxia whereas in the original, I still occasionally lose against him (since I always play with 80 HP, making any attacks a 2-hit- or instant kill) since he's actually smart enough to card break things. In the remake all you need to do to beat him is spam sleights since for some odd reason, he'll let you do so without interfering. Marluxia is just an example, though, everything is easier in the remake even on Proud mode.

Since I like games to be at least somewhat challenging, I have to say Re: Chain of Memories isn't better than the original. The beautiful graphics don't completely make up for the difficulty drop.

 

i thot ONLY Riku's story was easier. i thot Sora's story was ALOT harder tho. especially on Proud Mode

 

o_o Dude...I pwn at CoM but can barley make through normal on re:CoM...

 

There's only one thing that would make Re: CoM better...if it was in English!

 

Ia there anything bad about COM? I would only like RE:COM for the scenes. As good a reason as any to want an english version.

 

Maye people thinked it was better because of the 3D graphics, better battle system, more cards and more bosses.

 

I was worried too that it was all in Japanese... So I printed out all of the English dialogue (no joke) and looked at that whenever there was a cutscene. It was 33 pages long... but it was all worth it. Plus you get to hear Japanese (aka the most beautiful language in existence) being spoken.

 

I love japanese because they speak SO FAST!!!!!!!!!
Anyways, the graphics are cleaner and more visible in this game, CLEANER.

 

Yeah, the remake is better I believe. I still think it pretty much is the same thing as CoM except it just has some added on levels(or something like that).

 

hmm. I never played it but i do so want to! i hOPE IT comeso ut in english!

 

One day it might be dubbed in english, as long as they hurry up about it!!​
