Things that make you mad in anime/anime fans...

Okay, anything that grinds your gears about anime and anime fans.

My biggest one about anime and games:
Female characters that do nothing, or just heal and cast spells. Come on! I'm fine if it goes with a non-violent personality, but if all they are are whiny little b*tches that can't do anything else, it makes me mad. If they are good for fanservice, it makes me twice as mad. Honestly, you might be useful, if only you can put some clothes on!

One that relates to that and is about anime fans:
When people are fine with it. Not so much guys, but when girls are fine with it, that pisses me off. Come on! I'm a guy, yet I'm not cool with it, while you are the girl that shouldn't be cool with it and yet you are. That actually pisses me off more than the sterotype itself!

 

If I were to reply to this topic I'd never end.

There are A LOT of female characters that do more than be damsels in distress. You're making it sound like ALL of the characters are useless.

 

No, there's some that aren't. I'm just mad at the ones who are. BUT-I'm more angry at the fans that are okay with it.

I already did before I posted anything in this thread. And I'll say this:
I am a girl and I am okay with it. Reason for that is because I read plenty of manga and anime that balance it out for me so I know that its not just because that the characters are female, it's just how the story is going.

 

Casting spells isn't useless, ever heard of Slayers?

In any case the only useless female I can think of would be damsel in distress where they are actually not useless since they create a plot point. But I don't think any character is pointless if they do something, besides if you say female characters who heal and cast spells are useless then you've pretty much said that any CLAMP manga has no main characters.
