I did the multiplications of 40 in my head, which is the right number of each fraction; the left number is just 34 times an extra 34 each time; converting a fraction to a decimal is just dividing the whole thing out, which calculators are good at.

Edit: oh, and the step where my calculator didn't have enough didgits was trying to do 2551195584 squared.

the chance of not drawing Fusion Gate or Terraforming on the first draw is 34/40 (just realized I could have simplified to 17/20.. oh well) then not getting it on the second either I used 34/40 again to keep the math simpler, so multiplying the two is (34*34)/(40*40) then by the third draw would be (34*34*34)/(40*40*40) and you just continue like that for however many cards you're drawing.

yes, if you have three copies of terraforming and three of fusion gate, which his deck did.

    60% chance of gettin-
oh I forgot about the draw effect spam...
yeah xD you can get atleast 1 piece of exodia on turn one...with a pretty high chance.

im looking at the OTK deck now...to see if having 6/40 chance of getting fusion gate/terraforming is really going to help when you can probably do like 3000 damage on the first turn if the deck doesnt have anything to stop destruction effects...
    or negation effects.

no, even without the draw spamming. Exodia decks probably draw a piece as part of their first hand about half the time. Mine certainly does, and the chances shouldn't be any different no matter how you build it if all of the exodia pieces are there.

fine, random draw duel, I'll build that deck exactly as the list there states. you can use whatever. I'll go first, as soon as I've finished dragging the cards over into a DN deck.

    I'm looking forward to this.

The chance of getting Fusion Gate/Terraforming in your hand is ridiculously high.
Any deck that runs 3 Terraforming and 3 of a Field Spell is very likely to get it in their opening hand. This is from personal experience.

    Fred...
the probability of having a monster in hand is just...crazy.
    26/40 is spell/trap.
    14/40 cards are monsters.
yes the chances of drawing fusion gate/terraforming is higher, but if you honestly think that a deck that has like 3 normal monsters out of the 14 monsters in that deck can have a chance against anything out there...
Even kaiba can beat it! >_>

because trap booster is anime only, I'm subbing in 1x gravity bind, and 2x one day of peace, not sure how much those will help.

    draw phase---
    *hand 6*
    standby phase---
    main phase one---
    first up, I activate Terraforming.

This allows me to add Fusion Gate to my hand.

next, I'll set one monster, one spell/trap, and one field spell.

    [IMG][IMG]

    your move.
    end phase---
    hand: 3
    LP: same
    field:

I should tell you the strategy behind the deck:

First, start your turn with "Chain Material" face-down and "Fusion Gate" in your Hand.

Activate "Fusion Gate", then chain/activate "Chain Material".
Fusion Summon "Electrum" (A) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck (or anywhere except Banished Zone).
"Electrum" (A)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials") to the Main Deck.
Fusion Summon "Electrum" (B) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
"Electrum" (B)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials") to the Main Deck.
XYZ Summon "Gustaph Max" using the two "Electrum"s (A & B).
Detach one "Electrum" (A) from "Gustaph Max"
Deals 2000 damage and places "Electrum" (A) into the Graveyard.

At this time, there is "Gustaph Max" (With "Electrum" (B) attached) on the Field and "Electrum" (A) in the Graveyard. The opponent has lost 2000 Life Points.

Fusion Summon "Gaia" (A) using "Electrum" (A) and "Gustaph Max".
"Electrum" (B) is placed in the Graveyard.
Fusion Summon "Gaia" (B) using "Electrum" (B) and "Gaia" (A).
Fusion Summon "Electrum" (C) by banishing "Main Materials" from the Main Deck.
"Electrum" (C)'s effect returns Banished cards ("Main Materials" to the Main Deck and "Gaia" (A), "Electrum" (A & B), and "Gustaph Max" to the Extra Deck).

If the opponent has Life Points still because they raised their Life Point total, continue this until they lose them all.

You can summon unlimited numbers of the cannon. Means a OTK with 2 cards required.
