This is an epic Square Enix game for the DS made in 2008. Tetsuya Nomura made the character designs (like he does in most SE games) and it is epic. if you want to talk about any of your fav or least fav characters you can do it here. THIS FORUM WILL BE SPOILER HEAVY!!! also i only put the What a wonderful world thing in the title cuz thats the japanese title of it. i like Neku and Shiki just cuz neku forgets about everything and shiki turns into what she always wanted to be only to find out that thats not what she wanted all along. ts just epic. oh and here are pics for all of the main characters.

And if they do, it better have different characters; I personally would rather they not screw with TWEWY's ending.

It had an amazing ending, and should be left that way.
If a new game for this is made, I would prefer a prequel, to desribe how the Game started and to see how/when

It was one of the funest games I've ever played. Really screwed up my touch screen though.
I would definitely much prefer a prequel, I'd love to get some more backstory on the characters.

I am kind of curious about some of the loose ends though. Like, is that the only afterlife there is? Do you just keep playing that game over and over again each time you die until you get erased?

I believe it's explicitly stated at some point, possibly in the secret reports, that there are other "afterlives" on different "frequencies;" and no, I'm not just talking about the dwelling place of the Angels or the other UGs. As for playing the game, I would assume that everyone who doesn't meet the requirements for escaping the game is either erased on the spot or allowed to participate in the next game. I get the feeling it's the former; remember that the instance of three games in succession was almost unheard of in TWEWY's setting, and was only done specifically to match the amount of time Kitaniji had to prove his point to Joshua.

 

Yes it says that in the secret reports and I'd love to see a back story on how Hanekoma got to be involved in the game and who the fallen angel that he talks about in the secret reports is. You know the one who

Anyway a prequel would be nice or a sequel involving different people. Maybe it's storyline could be about the new players discovering how Shibuya was almost destroyed after they win the game. Joshua could tell them that they've won and one of the characters could resemble Neku a little bit and make Joshua talk about him for a while. You know reminice on that month. Oh this makes me wanna do a fanfic/RP. I'm gonna start one now.

it was Hanekoma himself. He disagreed with Joshua's decision and used Sho as his instrument to keep Shibuya from being destroyed, if I remember correctly.

Also, I have only one request for a TWEWY sequel.

He was shown buried under a pile of rubble. But he clearly hadn't been erased. They could do a ton with him in a sequel, especially if Joshua and Hanekoma were involved again; he might even be fit to play the role of Big Bad.

I hope they AT LEAST make a prequel. If not I would be so depressed. TWEWY is epic and should have some kind of sequel/prequel.

I'm pretty sure there already was a topic on this but anyway...

Sequel? Prequel? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- no.

No, I'm serious, just no. This is one of the few RPGs that I respect because it does not have 'x' amount of spinoffs to milk the fanbase. This game was original in its own right and just trying to pull a sequel to a story (that although has several loopholes like every single RPG that exist) that is finished and over will just ruin it.

 

This game totally caught me by surprise to be honest. I'm going through DS sucks phase when this gem is popped in my face. Yes, I don't like most DS games, throw as many sharp/heavy objects as you like. I didn't play it until my boyfriend kept on bugging me about it. Apparently it was so rare at the time, it was sold out for months. I by dumb luck found it at my local store after the announcement and bought it because I thought: "What the hell... Might as well." I fell in love with it almost immediately. Calling is still my favorite song of the game, btw.

As for a sequel/prequel. I honestly don't know. I love the game, I don't know if it'd be ruined for me seeing a continuation. Also, Square Enix never thought it'd become as huge as it has. They probably have no plans for a sequel. Of course, it was the same with Final Fantasy series.

 

The Twister remix from the opening movie is still my favorite song of the entire game.

I just hope they're working on/plan to make a prequel. There are so many questions that I want answered that could only be cleared up by a prequel. A sequel might kill the series unless it was done just right.

 

I'd honestly prefer there not to be a sequel or a prequel, I feel this game doesn't need one. I love the characters and story the way it is.

With a sequel/prequel come out, that means that the would change the characters and it won't be the same.
