Kingdom Hearts II The Voices Behind the Characters

it took a long time (lol) but i finally put 2 and 2 together (and still somehow got one)...anyway, just a little factoid which ties in Kingdom Hearts (the japanese version) with Naruto. (weird combo i know). Listen to the japanese Seiyu of Ursula and compare it with Orochimaru. sounds kind of alike huh? we'll it should seeing as they are the same person :O

anywho...do you guys think that they chose the right voices for the characters (english or japanese)? if not...how should they have sounded or who should have voiced them? or if you don't feel like answering that, who was your favorite voice in the game? (not CHARACTER but VOICE)

 

I'd have to say my favorite voice was Xemnas. He was so emotionless. Axel had my vote for 2nd though. His voice was so awesome.
Sora's voice had a big improvement as well, which was pretty good considering him maturing and all.
Overall I think a good job was done on them.

 

my favorite voice would be manse- i mean xemnas.and i haven't played the japanese kingdom hearts,so i wouldn't know if ursala or orochimaru sound the same or not.and i agree with above poster,sora's voice did get an imporvement,which i liked.

 

Hmm, I liked Axel's voice the most I think. Jesse McCartney did do a pretty good job as Roxas too. And I agree with what the others said, Sora's voice did get a lot better. Riku's voice was pretty sexy too.

 

Argh! x'D You're right! They sound like exactly the same! x'3 His/her voice is soo creepy O__O

I prefer the game in English...And I think the voice casting is pretty good...But The voice of Xehanort (the original Xehanort, that is <_<) is a little...Stiff.
But I love Ansem's voice ^___^ Suits his personality very well x'3
And Riku's voice is good : ) The same goes for him.

If you compare Riku's, Kairi's and Sora's voices to the KH1 voices...
Big difference. They sound so little at KH1 x'D
Makes me go "aawwwhhhh..." everytime they say something, now that I play it over again x'3

 

My favorite is Axel,second favorite was Roxas.Jessie M does a good job with Roxas.

Next comes Sora,he's cool.Then Ansem.He has a awsome voice.But,Sephy,his is just bada**.His voice from Kh2 and FF7 AC.

 

Sora's voice got a huge improvement in the second one, as did Kairi and Riku's, I thought.
Axel was freakin awesome!
All the Org. XIII members were pretty good.
The only one I didn't like was....hehe. Xemnes. I mean, emotionless wise, he was good. But first his voice made me laugh (almost died) then it creeped me out beyond belief.

 

I gotta say, my favorite voice was Axel. Quinton Flynn = awesome. And yeah, I agree with what other people said, Sora's voice in KH2 is much better. Both of them fit him, but I think Sora maturing fit his new voice. I also liked Demyx's, just cause it made me laugh.​

 

anyone notice that Xehanort's Heartless had a different voice in kh1 than in kh2? i personally preferred his voice back in kh1 it was done by Billy Zane and kh2 was done by Richard Epcar.

The voice thing was pretty sad. I loved the way he sounded in KH. In KH2 when I heard his voice it was a major let down considering he used to have one of the best VA's to me xD

 

Xemnas, Axel, and Saix are defintely the top three.

 

which Sephiroth voice is better do you think? Lance Bass (lol) or George Newburn? Lance Bass voiced Sephiroth in KH1 and George in KH2. Lance didn't really have to do much in KH1 (just basically shouting "Sin Harvest" and "Power")
