    hmm you know, I was just thinking of how the emblem of heartless and nobodies represent what they are.

    The emblem of the heartless is a black heart with an X through it. The X along with the colors probably means something like how those that become heartless lose their hearts to the darkness.

    The emblem for nobodies looks like an upside down splintered looking heart. I have no idea why it would be upside down, but the splintered heart could be thought of as meaning that nobodies are just a piece of what someone was before becoming a heartless.

    now we have the unbirths along with their emblem. what could it possibly represent? it is like an outline of a heart with two thin lines that run through the outline. those two lines separate the heart outline into three pieces. what could that possibly mean. could the outline of the heart mean that they don't have hearts? no, I have a feeling that it means more than that.

    I'm wondering if the heart outline, on the unbirths emblem, is split into thirds in order to represent the three pieces that form life. the heart, body, and soul. if so, does that mean that they have everything necessary form life? could they be artificial life? or do they have none of the parts necessary to form life?

    I'm guessing that they don't have anything. no heart, no body, no soul. maybe they are created when all three pieces of life are ripped apart simultaneously. the shock from such a thing happening may create an unbirth. the would be like a ghost of what once was.

    This can explain how unbirths are supposed to be the opposite of a human life. Birth of a human life is when a heart, body, and soul merge together as one. what sort of birth would be opposite of that. why that would be a birth of a creature created when a heart, body, and soul are torn apart simultaneously. If we are to learn what an unbirth is, we simply need to look at it's emblem.

    This a picture of the unbirth emblem.

    maybe, there are three parts to every heart, and those two things at the bottom show how memories reach to other hearts. Otherwise I don't know. This symbol is very confusing to me.

    I like your theory about this.
    So yeah, what are my thoughts on this symbol...

    The color of the symbol reminds me pretty much of souls
    because of its blue tone.
    What's bugging me is that the blue tone gets darker and darker when you look from the beginning of the picture and scroll down slowly.

    I would like to know why.

    Maybe the brighter part symbolizes that there are good "Unbirths", too?
    And the black part is for bad "Unbirths"?

    hmm I didn't think about how the colors go from light to dark. you're probably right that there is some meaning to that, but I don't know. it could represent that they are creatures of light and dark, unlike nobodies who are creatures of neither light nor dark. who knows?

    what do you mean by memories. I've heard others talk about memories being connected to unbirths, but I'm finding it difficult to understand how. in what way do those to things at the bottom represent memories? I just thought of them as something for design purposes, just like the bottom of the heartless emblem.

    like.....strong memories, memories of people they hold dear...example: sora and kairi. these memories allowed them to be affected by each other. namine didn't help with that. if strong memories allow a person to stay "connected" with another, then them becoming an unbirth, if you can, will effect that other person.

    I'm still having a hard time understanding how that relates to the emblem. probably just a sign of my stupidity, lol.

    This is just my opinion, but you seem to be over thinking the empty space a bit.
    the origin of this symbol is more obvious if you brake it down a little.

    The unbirth emblem is composed of four horns (the musical instrument, not like a goat horn). the four horns are forming two X shapes, which are positioned to make the three simple shapes used in a heart symbol.

    In KH2, X was supposed to represent ware light and dark cross, or reach a balance. we can draw from this that the unbirth have something to do with the balance or connection between light and dark.

    now, this doesn't tell us much about what they are, but the heartless and nobodys can. the nobodys are the flip side of heartless, a mind without heart or body, even there symbol is only a slight varient of the heartless's, just fliped upside down. that accounts for two thirds of a human, body and mind. but the heart or soul(two words for the same thing) goes unaccounted for. so the unbirth is likely a soul without body or mind. no thought, no instinct, just raw unbridled emotion.

    i gotta disagree wit u there, bro
    Soul and heart not two words for the same thing.
    Heart=emotions and memories
    Body=holds the heart
    Soul=gives life to the body

    When the heart leaves to form a Heartless, the soul stays behind and keeps the body alive to form the Nobody.

    ok first off, I'm surprised that this thread even came back to life lol. second nobody's are the body and soul. the mind well that is not something that makes up life in the kingdom hearts universe as we know it. read the ansem reports and the secret ansem reports. they clearly state that a life is comprised of a body, heart and soul. that means heart and soul do not mean the same thing. they are different, they are separate.

    also stated in these reports is that the soul can not live without the body, and likewise for the body. if these two things are separated, then they both die. so as far as we know, the soul can't live on its own.

    I don't even know where you came up with the mind part so i'm not going to ask. but I will say this, at the moment, in the kh universe, the mind unnecessary for life (however you may be right that it has something to do with unbirths. The mind could be all that an unbirth is, the no heart, body or soul, just the mind). as for the four horns you speak of, very interesting, however I only see two.

    and finally, if you are suggesting that unbirths are also created when an heartless is made, well then you got some research to do. since there are pure breed heartless, it is reasonable to assume that they did exist even ten years ago. however, it has already been stated that the heartless make no appearance in bbs, and that the mass breakout happened I believe nine years ago, after the unbirth rein. you see unbirths are suppose to cease to exist after bbs. besides, ten years ago there were not enough heartless to account for all the unbirths. unbirths are the ground work for heartless. thats all.

    I'm sorry for my error in terminology. The Ansem Reports do say soul, not mind. my confusion came from nobodies having no emotion, only memories. it made mind seem to make more seance.

    Still, heartless do operate on instinct. While there opposite, the nobodies operate on memories. The only thing that hasn't been done yet is something operating purely on emotion. something borne directly from the heart rather than from loosing your heart.

    oooooo, I like pure emotion, interesting. probably will happen at point. maybe it will be the unbirths, read my thread on my "extended thoughts on unbirths based on there name and emblem." I add to this theory there, I state there that since the body and soul would become separated in the unbirthing process, they would both die. the heart is left and as we know, the heart can live on its own.

    the heart consists of both light and dark, except for the princesses of heart. I also suggest that these creatures would be similar to that of heartless in that they work by instinct. but you are right, that would be a little redundant, perhaps since there is still light and dark in the heart it is purely emotions that they live on.

    oh, and don't think that the creator of the game, who's name escapes me, has run out of idea's yet. he is a genious! he can come up with other ideas that an enemy in kh will depend on. like for instance, how about desires. something could maintain their existence solely based on desires. or how about regrets like in the anime shikabane hime: aka. that there is a great anime!

    yeah I know, their emblem also very in curvature and color. some have a black emblem. some have a white outlines. very strange.... but blue is their color, their representing color i mean. and they all have red eyes, much like how all the heartless had yellow eyes and all the nobodies, besides org members, had no eyes. instead, I think all the lesser nobodies had zippers on them somewhere.

    I don't think the symbol should be read into for every tiny little aspect.

    Heartless have an ex-ed out heart because they are tainted hearts.

    Nobodies have a splintered heart because they have no hearts

    I say the Unbirths have an outline of a heart because they are everything but the heart. and i'm not talking about body and soul. that's a Nobody. I mean it more in terms of essence.

    could be. just pure essence. perhaps thats what is left after the unbirthing process.

    i think each section represents a part of a living human.

    1. body
    2. Thought
    3. Emotions.

    yeah i know, but they never stated that the soul is what gives us thoughts, and emotions are just part of the heart. but i agree with you. it just would be body soul and heart since those are the three parts of a human. :)
