The True Dark King

A year before Kairi arrived on Destiny Islands, Sora and Riku had another friend by the name of Max. He was the oldest in the group at the age of 6. The three went everywhere together, until one day on Max's 7th birthday. He went missing. It was as if he vanished into thin air. Now, 10 years later, it is Max's 17th birthday. Strange things begin happening on the islands. Strange puddles of black goo begin popping up at various places on the main island. People report seeing an odd figure. Children begin to go missing. What could all of this mean?

Len stared down at her notebook, looking grim. The task at hand was rather trivial, but it was immensely hard to do. It was her summer homework.
"I have to......what?" She reread the instructions. All it seemed to be was 'BlahBlahBlah, BlahBlahBlah.' "I...don't....get...it." Len mumbled, irritated. She absolutely hated summer assignments. Summer was meant for relaxation, not blowing a head-gasket. Len sighed, putting down the obnoxious item of doom. She stretched her back, and put on her boots, preparing for a walk to cool her head.
Len walked out to the beach, lemon-sherbet ice cream in hand. The walk had been uneventful, as always. The island was peaceful, and all was well. But only to her, it seemed. Rumors had surfaced of children that had gone missing on the other side of the island, but the kids were never the ones that she knew: it was always someone outside of her circle. Still, she tried not to worry too much about it. After all, thinking of things like that would just make her paranoid and touchy, and she didn't enjoy thinking in that mindset AT ALL. So instead, she just sat down on a bolder by the beach, and enjoyed her ice cream. The on-coming darkness, however, loomed overhead, and out of her vision.

 

OOC: Are we starting?

BIC: Lulu walked down the street, heading toward the beach and decided against it. She stopped, "It's not fair. Summer homework...boring." She pushed her black hair behind her ear, "Summer vacation has gone by too fast." She bought an ice cream and bit into it, "Salty but sweet. Same as always. That's not changed." "Unlike those missing children."

 

OOC: I wasn't quite ready.
Ah, hell, why not?

BIC: Max watched the small town on Destiny Islands. He made mental notes as people went about their daily business. "Such pathetic fools..." He mumbled, scanning the playground for his next victim. A few small children caught his eye. They were no older than 5 or 6. Perfect. Max vanished from the roof, leaving a puddle of black goo behind. He reappeared in an alley close to the playground. He shot some goo at a ball that one child was playing with. Max willed the goo to bring the ball to him. Just as Max planned, the child followed the ball.

 

OOC: LOL, yous a villain. X3

BIC:
Len bolted upright from her spot on the rock, her phone ringing wildly in her pocket. She breathed heavily, having been throughly startled. "Mom! Yes-- what is it?" As her mother frantically wailed, Len's face grew more distressed. "Len! Your little brother, Yami. He-he's missing." Len's heart stopped in her chest. She could practically hear the blood pumping in her veins. Her brother was missing. (OOC: of course I have to use HIM XD)
Her little brother. The boy that only cried when she wasn't around, and seemed to have a dream of marrying her one day. (??? Strange child XD) The boy that always did as he was told, and stayed away from strangers.
Len ran. She ran far, and she ran fast, searching for her beloved little brother. Even though her legs screamed at her to stop, even as her heart and lungs begged her to give up. She wouldn't. Not on her life. That little boy was the only reason she had life to stay on this damned "happy little island", and her heart would die the day that he did. He couldn't disappear, not without breaking her heart into a thousand pieces

 

Lulu stopped by the park. The children were cradled by frightened parents. She walked over to her cousin, "Leo, is something wrong? Why's everybody so scared?" Leo clutched at her leg, "Lu, I was so scared. That boy...he just up and left...I..." he started crying hysterically and Lulu looked around.

 

Max chuckled as the ball came to rest at his feet. He picked it up just as the boy came to him. Max smiled. "Is this yours?" He asked.

The boy nodded. "Yeah, can I have it back, please?"

Max knelt down to where he was at an equal height to the boy. "Of course you can." He put his hand on the boy's chest. Dark goo began to swallow him. The boy screamed and struggled to get out, but it was useless. Seconds later, the boy was gone. Max absorbed him.

 

As Len ran, she felt something in her heart snap in two. It was entirely too painful to bear, and she didn't know what had caused it. She looked around frantically, tears filling her eyes.
"M-my brother!! H-have you seen him? Has anyone seen my baby brother?!!" She knew inside that no-one would. She knew he was no longer there, but her stubborn nature wouldn't allow her to give up her boy. Hers and no one else's. Len's vision grew blurry, as the pain escalated. "My boy is gone. My brother is gone." She could hear herself mumble over and over again, little the mantra would break the dizzy spell and bring him back. She dark eyes filled with tears, and her right eye seemed to be more painful then the rest of her body. Like it was the entry point of her pain. Somewhere, in the back of her mind, she heard a voice say,

You are the one that holds the key.​

Len couldn't go on. The pain was too much. Though she knew she wasn't crying, she felt a wetness leave her right eye.
Drying her eye, Len was startled to see blood.

Don't be afraid, the voice said, Everything done will bring you one step closer.​

She wanted to scream that what the voice said where lies, and that the loss of her brother was too painful-- too terrible. But couldn't. In her right eye, she saw something strange. Names to faces that passed her by without care. Dates attached. IT was something that immediately disgusted her, but as her vision grew dimmer she could do nothing but fall.

But don't be afraid.
For you are the one who will bring light to the darkness.
You are the one who will lead the way, and pave the path.​

 

Lulu ran from the crying people and searched frantically for the lost boy. He had to be somewhere around here. She, instead, found a girl lying on the ground. "Hey!"

Weapon: Rage of the Dragon (just know that it's a Firekeyblade. I just wanted to give it a name because I just now realized calling it Firekeyblade would be stupid.)
Appearance: Short, always wearing a jacket with zip up pockets. The jacket is always zipped all the way to the top. She always wears her dark black hair in a low ponytail with hair hanging on both sides of her face that are too short to be tied back.

BIC: Max looked around at the chaos. The glorious chaos. Children crying, parents frantically searching, police trying to get everything in order. All of this was caused by him, and Max was quite proud of himself. He turned around and came face-to-face with a red headed girl. "Out of the way." He ordered firmly. The girl was Kairi.

Kairi ignored his order. "Are you the cause of this?" She asked.

Max frowned. This girl's light made him feel very uncomfortable. He decided to answer her question. "Yes."

Trixis had left her house to see what the chaos outside was about when she saw a girl fall to the ground. She rushed over there to see if she was okay. "You okay?!?! What in the oblivion is going on out here?"

 

Lulu hesitated as another girl went to the girl on the ground, she hated being around other people but the girl was obviously hurt. She ran and crouched beside them, "I can't believe this is happening."
