To kill lonliness when night falls
And the room they used to sleep in

And with every dress thrown into fire
He would want her more than he ever did

He felt trapped in his own guilt.

So he wrote an awkward letter
From the bottom of his fragile heart;
See, I never thought I loved you
But the silence tore me apart
With your death in all it's glory
It's no time for me to live

The Story.

"Mother!" The snow fell heavily but the wind kept silent. The forest was also, like the wind mute. It echoed. "Mother!" The voice was hard to read. It was a voice from someone of youth. It was more of a female voice, rather than male.
"Mother, Where Are You?" The voice was closer now. There was a pup. Wolf Pup. Running through the snow. She had fear in her eyes. Worried. She stopped and called the same. "Mama!" She cried, panic was setting in. Panic was rapidly setting into her blood. She had woken up during the night, there was voice and her mother was leaving her. Alone. She was still too young to be left like that. The other wolves who she was being spoken too were all males. The pup had seen that they all had black fur and yellow eyes that seemed, well, lifeless. She sensed something had gone bad, indeed it had,

"You're Mother Cannot, Any Longer, Live With You. Come With Me." A voice echoed. Deep, male. It was familiar to the pup and so was the scent. She stopped and leaned back, scared, she knew the worst was coming. Her mother was gone. The pup looked up at the great male wolf. He was very tall and strong. His fur was a very dark brown, just like the pup's pelt. The fur was very light except for a darker brown that ran around the wolf's neck and a very dark line that ran from its forehead, and down to the tip of its tail.

The pup was, the same. The exceptions were that her pelt wasn't as dark around the neck as the male. Rather, she had white fur under her chin that ran in the front of her neck. Her snout carried that familiar brown line all the way back down to her tail also.

The pup carried her head low. She knew this wolf. It was her father, but she was rarely able to see him. He was always busy checking on all of the forest. Making sure that there was enough food to go around. The pup's eyes started to sting and tears started to come from her eyes. She couldn't help it.
"She's never coming back is she, Papa?" The pup asked, her voice quivered as she spoke. The male wolf didn't say anything, her shook his head and sighed, as if, he himself, was holding back to grief.
"Come." He said calmly, and turned starting to walk away, at a proud but rather slow pace. The pup looked back at her den for the final time. She had forced herself to stop crying. How it hurt. The father stopped and looked back at the pup waiting for her to catch up.
"Come, Kasha, we have much to forget, and attend to." He said to her. He wanted to make her forget this all.

Summary~​

The Mother of a small pup has disappeared. She was taken to her grave before the pup, Kasha, could know. The father has come to take care of Kasha, only a few hours after her sentence of death. He is planning to find a new home for the pup, not planning to take care of her, and wanting to make her forget everything that has happened, to leave it behind forever. However, he is also in charge of the forest. He is in charge of all Carnivores, making sure there is enough food to hunt, and enough shelter to hunker down in, and he plans to pass this on to Kasha.
The wolves of the pack are all family. This is made so no one is ignored and to be more realistic. If we get more than five-eight players I will make another pack. However, they are not all related, even some of the pups aren't blood related.​

The wind whistled as the snow fell through the night. It was falling quite heavily now, as the sun started to pull itself up from behind the mountains. Kasha looked up at the sky and watched the brightest star in the sky. It was still visible, even as the sun was rising.
"Is mother with the Great star now, papa?" She suddenly asked through the silence. Her father waited a few moments before answering.
"Once you have forgotten her, she had left the Spirit of the River and joined the Great Star to watch over you and I." He replied with calm voice. Kasha always enjoyed hearing the stories from her mother, about the Spirit of the River and the Great Star in the sky. She always said that when a wolf dies, their spirit flows in the rivers and once it reaches the end of it journey, their spirit will join the Great Star in the sky, and the family members and friends of the wolf will forget about that wolf... Kasha didn't want that to happen to her. She wanted to be remembered when she died. In her loss of thought she hadn't realized that her father had stopped walking. She bumped right into him, and backed up looking at him. He didn't look at her, but rather, at the silhouette of other wolves resting in a cave. It was hidden by the fallen snow and the trees that wrapped themselves around it.
"You will stay here, Kasha. The pack will take care of you from now on." He said in his deep voice. Kasha pulled back her ears looking at the wolves. They were all asleep. She noticed that there was two pups resting near a more adult wolf.
'That must be the Pup Sitter.' She thought, and squinted to get a better look at the other wolves.
"They know you should be arriving. I told them about it just before I left to get you yesterday." He said, and turned with pride, and started to walk away. Kasha watched him walk away. She dreaded to cry out to him. She didn't want to be with these wolves. She wanted her mother. Kasha wanted her father. Not these unfamiliar faces. Kasha turned the other way and slowly headed towards the den with her head down, watching as her paws appeared and disappeared as she walked through snow. Kasha didn't want to be near them. She settled down on the border of the den, and curled up with her head resting on her paws. Kasha slowly closed her eyes thinking about her mother.

 

Alaura opened her eyes as she heard a noise outside the den. She looked up. With the rising sun, she could see a pup laying near the border. Kasha. She remembered the name easily. The pup's father had told them about her.
Poor thing, Alaura thought to herself. She stood up slowly, trying not to wake the other pups. The wind outside sounded fierce. A shiver ran down her spine as she felt the temperature drop.
She stood beside the pup, looking down at her. "Come on, love," she whispered to Kasha. "No need to be in the cold here."

 

Seth woke up from the chill that breezed through the small cave. He relaxed, sighting the new wolf that came.
The scent of the pack leader, he thought, maybe related.
He yawned, turning over. He spotted the sitter passing through the sleeping wolves, calmy reasurring the pup, which was his same age, around there, he could spot. Seth stretched, then slowly going back to his same position, resting his head on some soft ground. He closed his eyes, feeling the cold wind blow through his fur.

BIC- Andrew had awakened suddenly due to the movement of the pup sitter. He heard her walk to the outer edge of the cave. Andrew yawned lazily and turned his head and saw that Seth was also awake. He noticed that Seth's attention was on something else near the pup sitter. That was when Andrew noticed the newcomer. Oh.....a new friend?......I want to go back to sleep.....I'll greet them later.... And with that, he laid his head back down and attempted to doze back to sleep.

Kasha opened her eyes looking up at the Pup Sitter.
"Are you the Pup Sitter?" She asked looking up at Alaura. She felt a cold gust of wind come against her fur, and with that, Kasha stood up, relieved, that they were actually inviting her into the den. She felt more welcome.
"Is everything going to be okay now?" Kasha asked Alaura, questions kept popping up in her mind. This often happened when she met someone new. Kasha decided not to ask any more questions since it was still kind of dark out, and if she talked to much she would probably wake the other wolves. Something, Kasha had figured out on her own, that is probably not the best idea to do unless you are looking for a bad fight. Kasha shook her fur of any snow, and waited for Alaura to lead back to the pups.

Rayne heard soft voice outside the den and opened her eyes slowly. She slowly turned her head and looked outside. Rayne could only see the faint silhouettes of the two wolves. One she recognized was the pup-sitter, and the other one a small pup. She remembered being told about the pack receiving a new member. The pup was the daughter of the leader.

She smiled inwardly, and laid her head back down, still keeping her eyes open and sighed out quietly. She knew Alura well, so she trusted her to take care of the newcomer. Another dawn was coming, and she had to prepare to hunt for food for the pack. Her thoughts drifted back to the young pup. "It's nice to have someone new around," she thought in her mind.

Rayne let her eyes wander around the cave to glance at the other wolves. Most of them were pups. The humans had taken their toll on one or both of their parents. It pained her to see her comrades fall one at a time to the humans. It was all part of life, and the pack learned to press on. She curled her tail around her too keep her warm from the nippy air.

Andrew's sensitive(but sometimes deaf) ears caught hold of the newcomer's conversation with the Sitter. Eventually, their voices blended and he went back to sleep. For some reason he wasn't very cold even with the chilly weather and the frosty wind blowing around the den. It might have been because he had a thick coat of fur, which was good, but it also made him look slightly chubby, and it was sure to get annoying in the summer.

Seth sensed that most of the pack memebers awoke to the new scent, or chilly breeze, and all spotted the newest pack member, whoever she was. Maybe the leader met her once, maybe saved, like me, or is related. He pondered this, but he'd knew he would know in a short time, he'd just have to sit and listen. I'm not much of a talker, anyhow, he thought.
He opened one eye, looking at the other pack members, pretending that he didn't care.
Now that he had no family, he felt that he'd have to keep up a reputation. He didn't feel comfortable anymore talking after what happened. Now he'd have to stay alert, and stay away from the humans. A moron would try to avenge thier parents, and go against the humans guns.
He got up, not tired anymore, walking between the wolves to the highest spot of a corner he could find, away from the wolves but a good place away from sight from the opening. A reputation of guarding, he'd like that job, a night watch, or maybe a patroller. Those thoughts came around his head as he lay down, looking to the wolves.

 

Andrew was almost sleeping again until he heard the soft and faint padding of paws moving away to the back of the den. He let out a quiet growl of annoyance and decided that sleeping any longer was futile. Might as well sit up and greet a new friend. Of course Andrew knew Seth a little bit, but he didn't really talk to him. Not that Andrew was an antisocial or a snob, but that it seemed to Andrew that Seth had a sort of air about him that was hurt and maybe even dangerous if Andrew bothered him. In truth, Andrew wanted to help him, but he didn't know how. So he reserved his contact with him. For now, Andrew sat up and yawned opening his mouth wide and raising his head in the air almost looking like he was about to howl, except of course, he didn't know how to howl yet(or wasn't very good at it.)

Rayne raised her head up slowly when she heard a small pup attempt a howl. She chuckled quietly with adoration and then decided it was time to move on with the day. She bend low and stretched out very slowly, then she stood right up and looked over the pack. She smiled with her eyes. "The pups are already getting up, I guess I should too," Rayne thought. "They really set a better example for us adults."

She turned her head slowly to look out at the entrance as a small wind picked up outside blowing the snow around. It was going to be a very long hunting day, Rayne decided. Not much life was going to hang around out in the cold weather.

 

Seth pretended to not look at Andrew, but he sensed that he was roused by his walking to the other side of the cave. Seth didn't laugh when he tried to attempt a howl, he forgot how to laugh. It was a serious subject, if Andrew couldn't howl, he can't alert to humans. Same with himself. He couldn't howl, he was as old as Andrew also.
He calmly surveyed the cave, seeing as more people woke up.
Being a patrol is much more better to pass the time then sleeping. Might as well help them, he didn't want the hunters to come and find them.
He was much more of a hunter then a playfighter or howler, he'd realize. And he'd prefer to keep it that way, but more into the howling and fighting. Playfighting was only training, and he never trained. He'd refuse to think of himself as shy, and he became touchy if he thought that way. He growled a bit in frustration, but toned himself down to make the others have a good sleep.

 

Andrew shook his head and fur after his yawn and yawned again. This was not his normal wake up time. Normally Andrew would be sleeping peacefully and then suddenly wake up naturally. Most of the time it happened to be in the morning but other times it varied according to how tired he was when he went to sleep. I wonder what I'm going to do today....maybe the new pup can play! That was Andrew for you, he only lived simply, and thought simply, but there might be something more with him. Hmm....my paw seems bigger.....am I growing?! Maybe I can run faster!

 

Seth glanced as the new Andrew came to his senses. If my parents were here, I'd say I would have fun like him...I can't even remember my own self. He jumped down from the tallest point, landing quietly, and trotting over passed the new pup, not saying hello, his tail showed signs of dominance. He walked to the end of the cave, and glanced around. No signs of humans..nor animals..
It wasn't snowing anymore, that he was glad for. The sun shined a bit of warmth onto his fur, which he was glad for in the cold. He stretched again, pushing some snow with his paw into a snowball, then smashed it quickly.

Bic: "Yes, that's me" Alaura answered. She looked into the wind. "Don't worry. Come in, you're going to get sick."
Alaura turned her back on the entrance and saw Seth. "Be kind," she said to him. She walked back into the den, hoping to get some more sleep. The pups were already awake, so that wasn't going to happen. She gestured towards Kasha and sat back down, ready for the day.
Alaura eyed the pups watchfully, hoping that there wouldn't be too much mischief. She was starting to feel hungry, and was eager for a hunt.
