What do you think of it? I personally think it is a really original series, and the fact they have odd uses of animals even makes it more interesting. The plot is well-told and easy to understand. The fighting system, in my opinion, could have used a tad bit of work , but overall it wasn't bad, especially the animated effects every time you battle opponents. This in my opinion, is probably one of the better action-games out there, and I recommend it to any PlayStation fan that owns a PS2. They should make a 4th installment of the series for the PS3. I remember seeing that it could happen in an interview...I'll try and look for it. Discuss.
I grew up with Sly Cooper, defiantly one of my favorite series. It should have gotten way more fame than it did. I really liked the plot and all of the levels were awesome. My favorite was the first one though, probably because of its simplicity and everything. The third one I think had 3-D, right? That was pretty cool for a PS2 game. ClockWork was defiantly an amazing last boss, too. Swear it's one of the best series for the PlayStation 2. Now I want to buy another copy...thanks a lot.
I WOULD have grown up with this series, if my cousin hadn't stolen my copy. Seriously. He came over to my house, it disappeared when he left, and next time I went over THERE, HE had a copy and he 'didn't know' where he got it from. Bullshit. >: It was an amazingly fun game while I still had it though. Really creative.
It definitely is one of the better playstation series out there. Quite high up there with Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and the like.
Loved all three games and still hoping for a fourth (though it's incredibly unlikely). Funny thing is that I played Honor Among Theives FIRST. I got my PS2 christmas of 06 and after playing KH I bought the sequel with some X-Mas money. I had some left over and saw SC3 in the bargain bin for $20. I bought it and got hooked after the tutorial. I've finished all three and my favorite part to play in any one of them still has to be in SC1 when you fight Ms. Ruby. Doing that was so fun for me. (Yes, I know i'm so weird about these things). Also the original was in fact the most original in terms of gameplay imo.
